Wow, that's cool! I haven't fished mine yet. I didn't pay a whole lot of money for it but I've considered keeping it new, just because I haven't seen many of them. I'm sure I'll end up fishing it eventually though.

Yes, you can use smaller than a 5/0 hook on a jighead. Pick the weights you need and go for it.

I've never had a problem but I generally buy new reels off of Ebay. Make sure the seller has good feedback and posts plenty of pictures of the reel. Ask them questions if you have any and if it doesn't seem right, don't do it. If you go with a reputable seller and can see decent pictures, you should be ok. Also, make sure they accept returns.

To me, the I palms better than the E's. Not quite as well as the CI4 but pretty close. The I is quickly becoming my favorite Curado. A 50 size would be killer.

That's old news, happened before the season. Nothing is going to come on this. This is what the ref had to say. After the game, referee Pete Morelli explained to a pool reporter the call: “The back judge threw his flag for defensive pass interference,” Morelli said. “We got other information from another official from a different angle that thought the contact was minimal and didn’t warrant pass interference. He thought it was face guarding.”

It will be interesting to hear what the NFL says about it. Either throw the flag or don't but to pick it up is pretty strange.

Yeah, the roughing the kicker no call was bad. Especially after they called it against Dallas a few series' before. The way I look at it, Suh shouldn't have had his suspension reversed so it kind of evens out.

Dallas is going to have to play a hell of a lot better next week to get past GB. This game was crazy. I'm just glad Lawrence redeemed himself after that boneheaded play on the fumble. Reversing the pass interference call was odd but it is what it is. Hell of a game! Go Cowboys!!

I'm sure his contract expired. He was 2nd in AOY last year and probably got more money and/or more years from Strike King than Shimano/Jackall was willing to pay him. After that, he could sign with whatever rod and reel companies he wanted. Daiwa would be the top choice. That's the way I imagine it happened, who know's though.

It would seem not. Strike King is the top dog and probably offers more in the way of money and benefits for a dude with a baby on the way. It makes sense. I just wonder if he's still with Shimano. Edit - According to his website, he's with Daiwa now. Daiwa has picked up Meyer and Ehrler recently, good for them.

I only throw the lightest of jigs on a medium power rod. Not all rods are created equal and powers vary across the board but I generally always go with a MH or H (regardless of maker) for jigs over 1/4 oz. As for action, always use a fast or x fast for jigs. It will be hard to get a solid hookset with a moderate action. For a 3/8 oz jig, I use a 7' MH/F.

When I fish Senkos it's always 5" and weightless. I use a 7'3" MH/F casting rod with 12 lb fluoro.

I only use them on my swimbaits. I use the Owner covers and the BPS covers, they both work great. They take up too much room to use for crankbaits, IMO.

It looks like Strike King also signed the Lee brothers, Matt and Jordan.

My favorite of the budget fluoros is Sunline Super. It comes in a blue box and is about $15 for 200 yds. I liked it way better than Vicious Elite or Red Label. If you're in the experimental phase, give it a try.

Cody is a stud. It should be a great move for both he and SK. They've got one heck of a pro staff.

I think my next reel purchase is going to be a Calcutta or a Conquest. It seems like the new smaller sizes would be much easier to palm and they look awesome. I gots to get me one.
