Scissors for braid and wire cutters for everything else.

I use a pair of kids scissors for braid and the cutters on my gander mountain fishing pliers.  Nothing fancy...

I either use a pair of serrated scissors or a pair of clippers used for getting in grown toenails

Serrated scissors. Or my Benchmade Griptilian if I don't have scissors on me

Leatherman Wave knife or Rapala scissors.

I use the mini craftsman wire cutters. They work great for braid to. When they get dull I can just exchange them for a new pair.

Wire cutters for mono and fluoro. Scissors for braid, and a knife for everything else.

I use a pair of zirconia scissors. Never need sharpened and never rust.

Hooks - metal cutter

Boomerang tool.  I always have it when needed, or I am always looking for where I stuck the scissors or clippers.

For years, I used fingernail clippers. Then I really broke down and invested in a nice pair of titanium pliers with outside line cutters.

A little pocket knife or a lighter

Cutting torch

Always have nail clippers in my bag.

 

My new favorite tool is the kvd split ring pliers. Cuts braid like a champ.

Rule #9 - Never go anywhere without a knife

 

Always a knife, whether is a benchmade, or a zero tolerance, or even a lowly gerber.

I use EMS shears.

I used the Mustang KVD braid cutter this past year and it did an alright job for fluoro and braid. It would be nicer if it was stainless so it didn't rust but for $7 it's not too bad. Used to use Rapala pliers with the carbon cutter which worked slick until a partner dropped them in the drink.

Got one for christmas.  Things cut through braid like butter.  

Have had quite a few braid cutting pliers, cutters always fail with just a little bit of age, No Mas.

At home I use Westcott scissors, in the filed a Walmart pliers for freshwater and a Harbor Freight (lifetime replacement) for saltwater, braid gets cut with a flame.

No Mas.
