The key is to do it at the end of the line, so you only burn a couple of inches. That gets cut off when you tie your knot anyway.

You make a fantastic point. It's pretty crazy to think about how lucky we are, from a global perspective. In some places fishing is quite literally life or death.

It's most likely just the pawl. It's about a $4 part. I think BPS has a parts dept that could probably help you. They would probably return the reel too but that really isn't necessary. Put a drop of oil on your worm gear every few trips and it shouldn't happen anymore.

At quick glance it looks like some of the Fenwick rods, (HMG and Aetos) and the Powell Max 3D rods use them.

I think some people just don't find split seats comfortable, whether it's the SK2 or the Pac Bay Minima. I'm not a big fan of them on real skinny blanks.

If you think you're going to use the bobber stop again soon and you want to save it, you can just push it up your line 12" or so or move it down to the knot. I can't imagine it would interfere with anything.

I bought a bunch of the Duo Realis lipless baits but I haven't really had a good chance to use them yet. I have high hopes for them though.

I like 12 for most crankbaits, 14 for t-rigs and 16-20 for jigs and pitching.

Why would you take offense to that? It's a legitimate question, especially the way your post was worded. At any rate...There are several good lipless baits to fish in grass. My favorites are the Red Eye Shad, Lucky Craft RTO, Lucky Craft LV500 and the XCalibur XR 50, (which is now called the Booyah One Knocker.)

You're right. They don't seem to do that with their cheaper reels as much as they used to. Admittedly, I don't pay much attention to their cheaper offerings.

That's what sucks about it. Companies, especially Daiwa, will put 12 bearings in their $100 reels but not in their $200+ reels. They should be standard across the board if they're going to put them in their cheap reels.

Bill, you need to learn what action and power mean, it will help you make sense of how your rods are labeled and what they really are. What you have written doesn't make sense when you don't use the terminology correctly.

I like fishing lipless cranks, jerkbaits and flat sided balsa crankbaits. I'm sure there are lots of other good fall baits but these are the ones I enjoy fishing.

It seems like half the fishing shows on WFN are filming at Lake of the Woods. Should be an awesome trip.

Trying to burn big, double bladed spinnerbaits wears me out. Heavy weighted A-rigs aren't much fun to cast all day either.

The Legend Tournament is a fantastic rod. The med will be better for light t-rigs, most treble hooked baits, drop shot, shaky head and other lighter techniques. The med hvy will be better for heavier t-rigs, jigs, frogs, c-rigs and any heavier technique. I would choose based on what techniques you think you will fish the most.

I'm speaking for myself here but I would have to say a regular, t rigged, 7" curly tail worm. I've caught literally tons of bass on 7" Power Worms but never fish them anymore. I always end up t-rigging a creature bait or a pitch bait or a straight tail worm, I need to bring the Power Worm back into the rotation.
