I could tell it was pretty long. 11.5" is about my limit on normal casting rods, 10"-11" is where I like most of my handles. That's the great thing about customs, you can make it however you like.

That's awesome! I really like using burl/burnt/composite cork on heavy power rods that are over 7'. That little bit of extra weight from the burl cork really aids in balance.

From everything I've read, Megabass rods are known for being versatile. They make rods that are capable of throwing jigs and cranks, more so than traditional American rod powers/actions. Not from personal experience but that's the way I've always understood it at least.

In this day and age when you can order anything you want online, tax free with free shipping, I see no reason to worry about whether a store has what you want. If I have to rely on Walmart for fishing tackle, I might as well find a new hobby.

I buy tons of baits on the bay but I only buy known brands. With those super cheap lures, you generally get what you pay for, IMO.

I would get the Metanium, without a second thought. That said, if you like the Lew's better, get it. They are both good reels.
