  1. or make your own skirt to match and put it on your fav jig head.... it takes no more than 5 min to make a skirt....I don't know why everyone doesn't do it
  2. if the spinning is anything like the casting this rod CAN NOT be beat at 100$ http://www.***.com/Falcon_BuCoo_Spinning_Rods/descpage-FBCS.html
  3. I just bought the 735c. it's stought but light and would work great for moderate cover. have you thought of using the 736c I just bought it too and feel it's better for the reel nasty stuff. The 735 would work great if your set on the 5. never fished the 765C ask david .. he would know better than me but you can't go wrong with either.
  4. I personaly think they are a bit loud but I hear they are real good http://www.***.com/Wright__McGill_Skeet_Tessera_Casting_Rods/descpage-WMTCR.html or this in the MH version http://www.***.com/Shimano_Compre_Crankbait_Casting_Rods_/descpage-SCCCRD.html or this All Star Team Crankin' Rod 7'2" MH http://www.***.com/All_Star_Team_All_Star_Crankin_Casting_Rods/descpage-ASTCKR.html this looks good too http://www.***.com/American_Rodsmith_Fritts_Glass_Cranking_Rods/descpage-ARFGCR.html I don't have any of them so I'm just throwing stuff in your price range
  5. those are some of the most non JDM looking revo's I have ever seen.. thatsa like posting the JDM skeet revo and saying wow what a sweet JDM reel these are sweet
  6. Wider than a revo?????????? wow any way you got a great real... I might get laughed of the fourm for the following comment but I have 2 / 200e's and 2 e7's and i'll be honest sand say that other than the size of the knobs I can't tell the difference in performance between the Citca and the Curado. Well the breaking system is better on the Curado i chalk that up to the lighter spool
  7. the Owners are only $3.49 for a 5 pack !!! http://www.***.com/Owner_Straight_Shank_Wide_Gap_3X_Flippin_Hook/descpage-OSHWG.html The Owners don't look like they have a welded eye from the pic on TW correct me if I'm wrong.. I like the welded eye and don't want to go through the hassle of doing it my self. i don't think they are , haven't checked mine . but with 50 lb. braid (i use for punching mats) and 20-25 lb. flouro i use for flipping , i consider the non-welded eye not an issue . are you concerned about chaffing of the line ?? I use a snell knot and have had issues with the eye rubbing the first rap. I use 65lb suffix. no probs since i switched to welded eyeflipping hooks
  8. I just got these two rods today so far I'm liking them. Going to pair them up with Curado E7s. I just wish the Curado came in silver like the Citca Would be a sexy match. I'll post a review after I've tried them out So that makes 7' MH Bucoo/Citca for traps and rip baits 7' H Bucoo/Citca for worms and Finesse jigs Dobyns 735c/Curado for flippin and Pitchin Dobyns 736c/Curado for Frogs and Punching and small swim baits Know what brand should I buy for my cranking rods...lol This is not a joke my Ugly stick light pros are just so dang hard to get rid of... they are casting gods... I can easily spool out a citca using 15 fluoro and 1/2oz crank. So I find it really hard to drop 200 - 300 bills an CB rod that I can't imagine doing so much better than my lite pros that cost 36 bucks ... Any thoughts on a really drop jaw awesome crank rod for about 75$?

  10. If i did that what should I make it out of? Aluminum or wood, or a block of PVC... I'm kinda clueless
  11. If it was me I would be skipping shakey head worms and an Eakins spider jig with a small life like craw trailer under docks. I caught the fish in my avatar skippin that spider jig in Aug in 2' of water do just that. PB bass so far. There was a Christmas tree just off a dock that was well shaded by trees and I skipped between the tree and the dock and bam 6lbs 9oz. I lived on a real estate lake too but it's a high land res with depths in the 60's. makes it real hard to find bass in the summer when they have so many places to hide and suspend. I wish I lived on your lake. It would be real easy to know what water not to fish at that timer of year. Summer is my best time. fits my strengths . Flipping and Pitching and deep cranking.
  12. http://www.***.com/Gambler_KO_Hook_5pk/descpage-GKOH.html Gambler KO 4.99 5 hooks haven't tried the more expensive ones so can't compare but so far I'm liking this hook
  13. which way is best you think wood, wax... could I use soap for the master. I have never made my own mold before. The geek in me is wanting to jump on the mac 3D the thing and then CAD it out
  14. anywhere with shade so they can get out of the sun. Docks in the deepest parts of the lake would be my bet. man that's a shallow lake.. anywhere that is not exposed to the sun near the deepest water in the lake is where they will be. they will be hugging real tight to that cover to. I'd get real good at skipping if I was you.... Try rocky banks at night and real early mornings
  15. I have been drawing up a new soft bait and am looking for tips and advice on making a mold to produce this bait Thanks
  16. Question for someone who might know... I have been drawing and testing a creature bait of my own creation. There is nothing in the market that looks the same or even has the same action as the bait I'm working on. But your telling me that if I rib something here and shape something there that may resemble a part of another bait (not the whole, but a part and not exactly but resemble) I can be sued for patent infringement? that's retarded. In music and movies you can't even copyright the music. you can copyright the words, or the words and song together but the melody is public domain. that's how weird ale gets away with it. you can't copyright the notes C B F G A, in that order because there are only so many notes to use. but those notes with that melody and these words you can copyright. HOW DO you COPYRIGHT or Paten A SHAPE? A circle is a circle A Square is a Square. The process or an exact replication of something I understand. but a shape? Please someone help me understand this before I loose my shirt trying to sell a bait I designed my self
  17. I buy the Netbait ones anyway.. they are cheaper and come more to a pack and work great... I knew a guy who invented the fuel injection system for snowmobiles and Polaris stole it from him and he took them on... it took 10 years and he almost lost his house and went bankrupt... then he won and received 110 mil so I think it's worth it for the little guy to take on the big dogs
  18. It might be hard to find state side but SO far i'm liking Daiwa Def Bass 100% flouro 300m for 30 bucks
  19. If it were me I would buy a 7'M Bucoo or a 7'MH Bucoo for 110. I love mine for just that use.
  20. OK first impressions on this line when I spooled up last night. It is the slickest most managable floro I have ever spooled with to the point It makes me nervious. I'll update again after I hit the water. No memory off the spool.... NONE
  21. If I were you I would look at the Dobyns Savvy SS766FLIP at 170$. I'll be honest and say that I personally do not own one but If your on a budget you will not be disappointed with this rod. In fact I would venture to say that after you purchase it you will be addicted to D rods and will buy many more. Many times in the industry rods are produced buy OEM's that don't know anything or care about fishing. That is not the case for Dobyns Rods OEM. They are avid about the sport. Holding tourneys here in Korea. All they do is build rods. Fly, Bass, Salt water and so on. When you take the Expertise of Gary Dobyns and match it with a company who is as obsessive with there image and quality of the products that they put out as they are about fishing, You get an amazing rod. The owner of the OEM actually lived at The Lake of the Ozarks for years in the 70's fishing and that's why he started his company, He loved fishing not money. I have been so impressed with them that I will be buying a few my self in the next couple of weeks. At full price. I am no way affiliated with either company but would sure love to be.
  22. the 7' h bucoo is good at pitching and flipping light to med cover. I own the 7'mh and h and even though they call them a 5 & 6 powered rods they are more like 4 & 5 powered. when you get up to the upper ends of the lure ratings they load pretty hard. I was flipping a 3/4oz tungsten DB weight with a 4/0 flipping hook and a sweet beaver on my 7'H. while I was able to do so well and effectively it just seemed to be a little much enough so that I'm too looking for a new heavy cover punching rod. I love mine. the sensitivity and balance are outstanding especially for a 110 bucks. I have just had to change what I planned on using them for a little. The MH is now my Trap and crank rod and the H is my Trig and Jig rod. I will buy a Dobyns 735C for pitching and flipping and the 736c for frogs and punching. I wish falcon would extend the Bucoo line they are awesome rods that can not be matched at there price point. Anyone here who owns one will tell you the same. Those that don't bash them sometimes but they don't own them so how do they know. Those two rods have been some of my best and most prized purchases and so I don';t want to risk busting them buy testing their lure rating
  23. Don't know about you but i'm likein that largest island with a 12' submerged point east of it and then drops off. I have found that these areas tend to hold lots of fish be cause it creats a funnel and is great transition and staging are. Hit it before the spawn and then after. then fish the deep southern Island point in summer
  24. They were the boats of guys who were smart enough not to fish the tourny and go do their one thing. I heard the did resl well to
