So I tried to order the navionics + from their website. Says it isn't compatible with my Unit. On their chart is shows that if I order the 2 GB it is. Still not able to order it. Any advice or should I just get the hotmaps premium? I am on lake conroe and don't think the Lakemaster has as much detail since it is not lakemaster high definition lake

Has anyone ever used the new apex series of reels from Ardent? I know they are no longer made in the USA. They look like abu reels so I assume they are made in same plant as most others. I recently got an ardent apex elite and have to say it is light weight and cast farther than any reel I have had before. The one I got has magnetic brakes and would compare it to the Revo SX. Just wanted to know if anyone else has tried them and what thoughts they had on ardents attempt to stay in market.

The tat will be heavy compared to your exo and lews. It is smooth and good reel though.

They don't get a lot of press on here but the EXO from Quantum is a fantastic reel.

All the major subdivisions have ponds with bass.the woodlands,Katy,sugarland. The bayous under hwy have decent fishing. Almost no bank fishing is allowed on condos these days unless you go to national forest.

So I have owned 2 16ft bass boats and a 21ft bass boat in my life. I fished more often out of the 16ft because the ease of use. I hated launching and operating the 21ft by myself. But I am now looking at buying a boat again. I am stuck between the Pro-Guide V175 and the Targa 18. does the 1.5ft of difference make that much difference on ride stability and operation? Any advice or thoughts welcome as long as you are not bashing the tracker brand. Thank you

I have the opportunity to buy a brand new 2015 alumacraft voyager 175 with a 90hp yamaha. Only problem is that they want $3000 more than the tracker and the carpet in the boat is already coming off the glue. Would you consider this boat even with carpet coming off? dealer says they will reglue carpet for free but it worries me that it already is coming loose from factory.

did some research it is supposed to be for spinning reels only though ardent pro roumbanis says he puts it on casting. My guess is it will be like nanofil.

If you use braid it doesn't matter if it is medium or medium heavy.

I plan on buying a new Aluminum Deep V. I have researched the riveted vs welded and I do not believe it will matter to me which one I get. I do want a console with walkthrough 17-18 ft is size I am looking for. Alumacraft, Crestliner, Lowe,Tracker,G3 all are near me. Only problem is that I live in texas and it is hard to test drive a Deep V boat since almost no dealer carries them. I will probably have to order one once I decide on the boat.

I am looking at getting a Deep V boat. I live on a rough lake and have a hard time in a bass boat with my knees and back. I thought about a center console but have decided I like the layout of Deep V boats better. For those of you who live up north and have them please explain what made you choose the brand you have. Tracker, Lowe, G3, Alumicraft, and Crestliner all have dealers in Texas. Lund does not have one anywhere within 500 miles of me. I would like to keep my boat between 20-30K rigged. I have a bad back and riding in a regular bass boat hurts anytime I hit waves. I have ridden in a few center consoles and think that is the better way to go. Anyone here fish out of a center console or have advice on this? About time to invest in a boat again now that I have had a job for 2 years again.

I bought a spool to try out but havn't got to it yet. If you try it out please post a review and when I get to it I will post mine.
