Is there away to get the tip top eye off without cutting it off?

On my other trailer I just use left over cheap outside carpet that I had when I carpeted my 15' Thundercraft. I glued plus use the heavy duty staple like nails for the carpet edges to help hold the carpet down just incase glue doesn't hold. I did by the carpet from Lowe's as well. I do need to carpet my jon boat trailer just never got around to it but when do I'm just going to do the same.

The small chatters are my go to bait for small ponds when I fish from the bank. I use Live Magic Shads for trailers.

If want to go with flouro I would go out and get XPS flouro while its on sale 20%. You can get a spool for around $13, If not that I had a good luck with Suffix elite in green(mono).

I get to be the first to say it, haha WACKY!! But for real I would try wacky rig. For me when I do fish T-rig I just fish them with a slow retrieve. I don't even heat mine no more but if I do I just use a lighter but with using a lighter make sure you don't melt the plastic worm.For more info on wacky pm Sam or Wayne P those are my plus many others go to guys.

I would say just buy it for $3 and give it a shot in the colors you know works for you. From the looks of it just another finesse worm so you can try fishing it several different ways like wacky, shaky, or T-rig.

Another thing you might what to make sure of is make sure there not a freight charge when buying new from store. I'm not sure how it works for the pelicans and plastic boats but my jonboat 14' cost me $65 in freight.

Thanks Clayton! Yea and I hear ya about the smallies. I've been up searching for some rivers that I know have em bout not sure if can travel in the boat. This is where I want a kayak. The more I think about it I hate myself for selling my 11' jonboat. I could easily transported it and just bought some oars.

Yea I'm not so sure there is smallmouth's there. I can't find where they supposedly are and I can't find much about fishing the mattaponi near me. I know towards Zoar state park and West point where the river opens up at is fun fishing from what I read but nothing about smallmouths. I was going to go today but my son is very sick so I'm staying home with him. BUT with all this smallmouth talk got me in the mood to go and try some. I only caught one in my life but that was just hook and worm when was little.

Thanks Clayton. I'm not sure but rumor is there is black bass but for what I know from bank experience LMB, pickerel, and brem. I never caught a catfish there. I do know there is allot of vegetation like lilies. So for what I know to toss is my normal frog, wacky, maybe small crank. I probably also toss out my chatterbait and maybe a skitter walk. I do have my jigs ready as well.but I'm thinking if I should go with a small bullet weight and rigging up Smokin rooster or space monkey over a shaky head?

If the everything free than it's more likely the best first time boat even if required some work.

I'm not really sure of the length or depth of this river but it's not very wide at all. I can basically cast across it but for those who does fish small river or so what kind of luck have y'all had. For those in Va It's the Mattaponi river right near Stonewall Jackson rd. I'm thinking about traveling and fishing in jonboat just hoping I'll have some decent luck and hopefully land some quality bass. I have heard rumors of big bowfin runs the river just I never landed one just small dinks and small pickerels there. Are small rivers worth the try and do smaller rivers hold big fish?

You sure it was a snakehead and not a bowfin?? Not saying it's not impossible since I believe we have em here at this local pond. It has something similar if not a snakehead plus bowfins. My buddy show me his pic which looked like a snakehead by color and bottom fin and then not to long after his pic, the buddy watch me pull out a bowfin from same pond and said definitely not the same fish. If they are getting into lakes how so? I know for this pond they have to be transported but for lakes can they get into lakes through rivers?

I know my worm shaft was sticking to one side and clicking at times on my PQ. I lube it and tightened the screw now it's fine. Been out 5 times with reel since and no problems since.

I still yet to catch anything on a C-rig but I was told that I reel it in to fast. Not sure this is true or not but the way I was explain is when reel or hop the lure you must wait due to cloud of dirt the weight kicks up the bass doesn't see the lure till it clears. Now if this is true or not not sure but can someone clarify for me. Was I told right? and if so for mine and WdyCrankbait understanding how long should you wait to reel or hop again? If doing the slow reeling how many should seconds should reeling and pausing be?

How many times did it take for Tate to set the hook? That was funny. Did you know them personally or first time meeting them? Man it sound like you all had a blast. We have snakes head here in VA I just never tried to fish for any or yet caught one.
