I guess i would have to be the odd ball in this one. I like numbers more then big fish. catching my share of big fish, i would rather like catching fish throughout the day then just one big fish. 8-)

I would have to agree with raul, those kinds of crankbaits are some of my favorite ones. I prefer a rapala tail dancer over a shad rap, anyday.

well only bluegill and golden shiner color are left. I'm surprised they still have those colors, usually *** is always out of basstrix soft plastic lures.

islandbass, the main flaw to this bait is that it doesnt swim at all like the old 2004 minnows. The new 006 minnows are heavier. The ones seen in the flash video on the site are not the ones your going to get. Even with the swim cuts the bait holographic foil makes it sink. I like the banjo minnow thats why i bought another kit, but this new kit is worse. Instead of going forward, in making the lure better. They make the minnows look better and got rid of the O-ring and corkscrews, but it lost most of the movement. Which is the main purpose of the banjo minnow.

I agree with George Welcome, Gar and bass do live in harmony, I dont think gar are the kind of species to whip out another species of fish. I fish a similar area that you fish, which has both gar and bass. I caught a good size bass just a few days ago, and gar so i'm sure you'll catch one too.

I just bought the banjo minnow 006. After waiting for some time, about 5 weeks i got the kit. I liked the new colors and i used the older ones before, and caught some fish. I started using the minnows a few days ago. I found out that that company Tristar Inc sold hundreds of flawed minnow kits to customers. I was just luck to get a flawed kit also. I emailed the company for help but they didnt reply. These minnows are worse than the older 2004 minnows( which actually worked). I dont suggest anyone buy the new banjo minnow 006 kit.If you check the web site, they didnt even finish the 006 big fish kit, and they are still selling those flawed baits. pike and zander are fun to fish for, also catfish. U.K. has some of the best carp fishing in world, go try fishing for carp. They have carp farms all around the U.K.

a crankbait would be a better bait for you. Sometimes numbers are important, no one likes a day with no fish.

I would go to forested area and work my way down. Not the rock reef, area. I would tend to stay away from boat area. What kinds of fish do you have there? Any muskies or pike? 8-)
