  3. Out of those choices, AVID. Get a MBR844
  4. I use a Avid 6'8" medium extra fast for topwater.
  5. The Mojo Bass is made in mexico.
  6. I use GLoomis CBR843 with Daiwa Sol and CBR845 with Daiwa Zillion Crazy cranker for deep cranks
  7. The MBR844 is my favorite rod and IMO the best rod I have ever used. And yes it is IMX!
  8. I use a G Loomis MBR844, its a 7 foot Heavy with fast action

The rods and reels are the same price (the ones they both carry, G Loomis, Shimano, St. Croix, Daiwa, Pflueger etc.) and most of the tackle is the same price between the two. Unless you get spousal discount then everything is cheaper
  10. For the motor try James River Marine 9869 Jefferson Davis Highway 804- 743-2100
  11. Thanks Sam, I did check some manufacturers websites, thats one of the reasons I asked about the extra fast tip. Some say moderate action and others like St. Croix say extra-fast action). So im confused on what to get. I definitely will go handle all rods that are suggested at the basspro in Ashland before I make a decision.
  12. Looking for a new topper water rod. Was wondering if anyone uses a rod with a extra-fast tip for topwater and any suggestions in general? I used search but couldnt find what i was looking for
  13. Try the Pro Qualifier reel from BPS. Thats small
  14. I have The Crucial Crankbait in 6'6" Medium that I used to use and it was a great rod for the money. Only reason i dont use it anymore is because I upgraded to GLoomis
  15. Im surprised no one mentioned Slayer. If you like The Haunted (1st cd) you gotta love, At The Gates (the singer and 2 other members started The Haunted) Hardcore today is not what it was when I was in my teens and twenties. Bands on MTV and Fuse are not hardcore.(if thats what you are referring to) If you know Killing Time, Slapshot, Sick Of It All (early), Agnostic Front, Murphys Law, Sheer Terror, Blood For Blood, 108 Shelter, Youth Of Today, Chain Of Strength etc etc thats real hardcore
  16. Im having a hard time getting used to the revo sx as well. My Curado Ds no problem , then i pick up the Revo SX and its a mess.
  17. I think the price of the premier, you can step up to shimanos compre line which is higher than the clarus. I think the Shimano has a Lifetime Warranty, the Premier has a 5 Year Warranty. I would go with the Shimano.
  18. AC68MXF will work fine for crankbaits, topwater and spinners. If you look for the thread" ST.Croix Which one graphite or fiberglass?", others use this rod for crankbaits.
  19. I use the St.Croix TBS68mxf Finesse Legend Tournament for the shaky head and I love it. It has a strong butt section to move fish out of cover.
  20. All I use is the palomar knot and i have never had a problem.
  21. Lowrance/Eagle make a trolling motor mount, model #TMB-S, 8.99 at BPS
  22. I use a St Croix TBC68MXF rod for topwater, $210
  23. Are youusing this for deep diving cranks or shallow cranks? I use a 5:0 for shallow and deep, if you are using it for deep cranks i definitely would go with a 5:0 or lower or if this rod is going to be used for shallow and deep cranks.
