  1. This should be done at any tournament, no matter how big or small. I know thats not possible but even a small 4hr tournament with 40 boats can put 200 bass back in one cove. I do however remember catching a bass from under a dock on a Sunday, weighing him in and catching the fish again under the same dock on Tuesday night. He traveled a LONG way in 2 days. i wonder how they do that. is it similar to pacific salmon who swim 2000 miles in the ocean to the rivers and streams using an innate compass?
  2. yeah i was pullin for cliff pace, dudes got talent and wasn't that far behind. gotta look out for those dirty south boys
  3. they said he practiced fished every pocket and creek on Lay TWICE from dam to dam. he's just prepared. good practice fisherman. knows how to analyze lakes quickly
  4. maui jim's stingrays. awesome all around pair. amazingly vivid contrasts and detail, very solid with a little weight to em which i like.
  5. mark has a great show. i always like watching him. not just a boring cheesy old man like others
  6. lets go Cliff!!!
  7. it happens alot. its a big site with tons of content. i think it just depends on the server, and how busy TWH actually is
  8. dont get any practice time? i'd be nervous too. just stick to your strong points. do you know anything about the contour of the place? water being up is always a damper for me
  9. being away from the grind. letting my mind and body unwind. ima poet and didn't know it

but you already said you got to see what was inside?
  11. He did post a pic joking that
  12. WRB just knows. I feel like i would be a better bass fisherman if i'dve actually remembered everything from my science and biology classes.
  13. with all this new gear, you're going to need more storage also!
  14. 6" roboworm zipper shakin' are bad to the bone
  15. that most recent monster fish episode last night was sick! some dude killin it at lake salto. also some huge trout were shown caught. that just made my mouth water. bass dontt make my mouth water. bass are guaranteed release with me, couldntt promise the same to a nice trout
  16. great, thats all i fish is a river. may need to focus more on the main lake portion this year. nice reply though, good ideas. thanks
  17. i have the Powell Maxx spinning rod for a while and absolutely love it for these applications. it has really nice backbone along with a flexable tip allowing you to dance those plastics. durable quality rod that won't break you or let you down. http://www.***.com/Powell_Max_Spinning_Rods/descpage-PMS.html
  18. http://www.fishfreakonline.com/pfluegerechelonbaitcastcombo.html http://www.dynamicpromo.com/product/112269/ i would however spend that hundred bucks on just the reel itself. if you get a semi cheap reel, its going to seem like you have to relearn when you upgrade.go ahead if you can and get something that does the job really well. it will be less effort for you to learn to throw with a baitcaster, speeding the process. assuming you dont have experience with a bc'er
  19. As we all know, this has been an unusually long and cold winter. Do you guys think it will effect the fishing season in any way when it does finally come around? For better? for worse? I've read a little about the shad kill, and how threadfin don't survive in water temps lower than like 45. RW was talkin about it while back. But not just a shad kill. There are so many different elements working together forming the ecosystem, all dependant on one another to keep it balanced. What could be determining factors that effects bass fishing positive or negative, givin the unusually cold winter?
  20. Eh...no thanks. Get you one of these: http://www.brinkmann.net/Shop/Detail.aspx?category=Outdoor+Cooking&subcategory=Charcoal+Smokers+%26+Grills&sku=810-5304-E&id=291 cool. now all i need is some steelhead! any trout will do i guess
  21. Brilliant! this is my exact argument when people push global warming. the earth is roughly 4.5 billion years old yet we think we can make accurate assessments on the future of planet earth based on a few hundred years(maybe) of observing and recording climate/weather. they say its at the hottest point in all of history, but thats not very much history at all compared to the actual age of the earth. climate fluctuates. when i was a kid the winters were harsh for mississippi for years, then i noticed winters started to not be as cold for years. now its freakin cold again. i think were starting another cooling period. well put bilgerat
  22. dude, i gotta get some of that, it sounds sooo good. mail me some. i love u long time
  23. agreed. its not accurate at all. yet i still check it out. any weather experts out there to chime in? i can only take another weekend of no fishing before i'm completely bald and the extended forecast is telling me 30 percent chance o rain and a high of 50 degrees for everyday next week. its like the curb your enthusiasm episode when Larry thinks the weather man is falsely predicting rain so he can have the whole golf course (lake in our case) to himself.
  24. rage frogs, ribbits and horny toads are all user friendly cause you can rig em, toss em, and just reel em in to get bit, whereas the spro frog or any hollow body requires a little concentration cause you're trying to mimmick the natural movement of a frog. those little hops and skips with suddle pauses are tricky to get down pat. my second favorite technique
