  5. gut hooked on pretty bad on sunday evening. couldn't get the hook out. being it's C&R in Michigan, i had to let the guy go, so i left the hook. maybe a pike had him for dinner?

  7. soapy water will get them worms up to the surface in seconds! u don't have to wait overnight ... pour HOT water into the garden, and you'll get crickets! used to do this as a kid to catch crickets and worms...

  12. 1. using the wrong hooks 2. sets hook too early 3. hooksets for topwater bites are different 4. can't horse all fish in 5. knot slips 6. tackle maintenance (rusted hooks, line management, etc)
  13. a few fish here and there.. better fishing days for me were on cold, windy, overcast days. skunked out on the better days .. ha!
  14. lol, well .. this yankee is gonna GA to do some fishing this weekend. hope the bugs stay off me -- totally agree, definitely am not wearing my jeans and hoodie in GA .. used to live there and it was awful hot & humid in the summer
  15. was reeling in my line with a 4" yum wooly hawgtail pretty fast and had a dinker about 8" destroy it. i didn't know what bit, but i set the hook pretty hard the little dink leapped out of the water. haha

  17. That's an amazing story with great agility and awareness. Reminds me of when Mike Iaconelli jumped out of his boat to catch his line and hand line his fish in.
