  1. Can you post pics and a price? This boat was purchased new in March of 2007. We were to pack it with us on trips with our travel trailer for fishing. The fishing trips did not happen. The boat has been used on a local lake about 6 times. It is spotless and in very new condition. The web site can show it's features and functions in great detail www.porta-boat.com . Set up takes minutes and is easily rolled to water's edge on the removable wheels. It can be powered by a gas outboard or electric trolling motor. It moves very easily with little power. Great for "electric only" lakes. Purchased new would cost $1,349.00 for the boat and $229.00 for the wheels, for a total of $1,578.00. Oars and set-up stick (used for assembling) are included. I can transport to a meet point of reasonable distance for gas compensation. http://s303.photobucket.com/albums/nn123/rag_18/porta%20boat/ Asking $1,100 or make an offer.
  2. I have a like new 10' Porta boat for sale.
  3. I think I peed my pants a little on that one.
  4. When my wife and I watch tv fishing shows we always say, "oh no, a giggler", when the people catch fish and start laughing like nut cases. What is that? That's why I like Hank Parker....no giggling like high school girls.
  5. If I was servicing all those women, I'd have to lay off golf too. LOL Keep in mind his wife is no rose. She did porno shoots not long ago.
  6. Netflix has been great for the year I've had it. I return one and 2nd day later I have a new one ...always. Beats the snot out of the prem movie channels which suck.
  7. Now I bet you are glad you didn't sent Vito down there. LOL
  8. What do you mean "leave here"....what did I miss?
  9. Marine store probably have good cleaner, but I used some RV cleaner I had on hand which worked super. RV grime is nasty and takes strong cleaner to get it off.
  10. Crap, I just had the 'Bait Monkey' put to bed for a couple of winter months; here we go again!
  11. Wow, how long did it take to boat the 240 pounder? LOL
  12. I heard about an accident at a club meeting Sunday night. Any details about what happened? How are the guys doing?
  13. Who are good supplier/sources for LED lights?
  14. Does your neighbor need anything else fixed??? LOL
  15. Hey, look at the bright side......you didn't fall in !!!
  16. And the goofs in Copenhagen want to control the climate, but they can't keep these fish from the Great Lakes.
  17. An old Nun and a young Num rode their bicyles into town one morning. After a few stops they headed back. The old Nun took a different route home. The following young Nun said, "I never came this way before". The old Nun said, "it's the cobble stones".
  18. Tucson, I like the boat guide on. My trailer had low mounted guides that had to be submerged below the hull for the boat to be floated onto the trailer. It was a circus trying to retrive the boat. I bought and mounted a pair of verticle roller guides that helped a lot.....but...when the bow just touched either side, it would **** the boat sideways. I have a smaller set of guide rollers just forward of the rear set, but it's still not the best. What you did looks like the answer. How did you attach the steel supports to the trailer frame. I don't want to burn off my galvanize with welding.
  19. I was screwing around with mine and slid the shaft down to where the gear drive assembly in the head came undone from the indicator. It's not a big deal (but will give you pause when the top comes off). Remove the top cover. You will be able to see how it should work, and, why yours won't. I would buy new gears or splines to get it working. Do it right once and forget it. I tried fishing without the indicator working.....it will make you nuts real fast. As a side note....installing an "on" light on the head would seem useful to me for those times you don't know if the foot button is depressed enough.
  20. I bought the rig last month for $225. The reel normally was $180 and rod $90. The rod was very nice, but I didn't like the long handle which most casting rods have. I took it back and replaced it with a pistol grip rod. If you like the rod, then you are looking at a great price.
  21. I have a new Yamaha 50hp on a 17 1/2ft G3 boat. I would like to convert the engine to a jet for river fishing. How costly would that be, or would it be best to just buy another engine?
  22. I know what you mean with entry level sonar. I'm going to move mine to the bow for depth readings and get something decent at the wheel. I read about interpreting all kinds of stuff under water and think they have to looking at a better screen that I have. My wife fishes with me. I'm going to see if she will swim under the boat so I can verify readings on the screen. LOL
  23. This brought to mind the pics, this past summer, of the guy who brought an 18" rattler into his kayak, put it on a hook and caught a 5# bass on it. That still gives me the heebie-jeebies.
  24. This sounds like you're talking about the President baitcast reels instead of the spinning reels cause spinning reels don't have any internal resistance to hinder casting ability, it's just line flowing off of the reel only. I'm also sure the company would probably fix it cause it was a warranty issue. I just didn't want to exchange it cause I figured I'd get another one just like it again. I've seen so many this way, not just the ones I bought, but new ones at the tackle shop here also, ones still for sale behind the glass. I don't have any confidence in them anymore. The Trion I bought was smooth though, just the bail parts wear too quickly from use. No, I'm talking about spinning reels WITH THE BAIL CLOSED. They are that free and smooth.
