I have one baitcaster right now and i plan on buying 1 more this spring and another one in the summer. It costed me $169($120US)for a shimano citica 200d and $192(160US) for a st. croix avid.

I have fished form a pier in lake erie about 15 mins from my house and the fishing is pretty good fishing towards the end in around 20 feet of water, but he i usally dont fish there because it is 15 to 20 down to the water and there is so many people fishing.

I was watching beat charlie moore and he was the challenger and they had to only fish his baits for the chalenge and they caught some fish. I still dont think they are worth trying tho.

I usally fish them weightless with gamakatsu EWG 3/0 or 4/0. I use just about any where if it is shallow enough and my most productive color is watermelon seed.

It also could have been a big catfish, i catch quite a few when using bass lures.

I absolutly hate fishing drop shots and jigging spoons they are way to boring.

I need to lern to fish jigs and plastics better.

Spinnerbaits are my favorite baits. I like that there so many ways to fish them and that they dont hang up that easly(i fish of shore alot so snags are a big issue)and ofcourse they catch fish. Any body that dont think they catch fish should give them another shot. A good video to learn how to use spinnerbaits is vandams proven spinnerbait techniques.

I watched a fishing show and they had a tournament on it and the host went and threw a banana in a competitors boat and they talked to them later and on blast of they lost their landing net and had a tough time catching fish in the morning. So maybe the banana ones real but probably not.

Since we are giving sugestions i have one that would be nice and seems pretty easy a spell check since so many people spell things wrong. i see it on lots of forums so i dont think it could be to hard.

I love bps. I see no real benefits to shoping at little tackle shops they have nothing they have unbelivable prices($11 for a rapala and $6-$7 at bps)and they close to early to get to and the closest one to me wouldn't return any thing no matter what and and they still care more about money then anything else. And i have to disagree about wal-marts and bps wages my local tackle shop pays the kid who works there under the table so he can give him $1.75 under minimun wage.

I dont eat bass. If i want to go fishing for a meal i just go walleye fishing they taste alot better then bass. I dont ever bring fish home, they taste alot better freash.

how far dose the thermometer need to be down to get the surface temperature?

I usally fish from the shore and i was wondering is there any way for me to get the water temp? Thanks

I usally fish cover because it is easier to find when fishing from the bank.
