Saints vs. Cowboys tonight....who wins it?
5bl, you called sir? Every blind hog finds an acorn once in awhile! It doesn't take rocket science to know playing turnover free, having fewer penalties, getting sometake aways, and putting 7 up in the redzone is winning recipe for success for any team. Something the Boys don't do very often, mistake free football. The difference in the game, TURNOVERS, Boys limited the number of times Brees got the ball. A few less drives meant less points for the Saints. We played an all most perfect game! You can't forget Folk! I haven't forgotten about our in-consistent coaches, so this win just sets up die hard Boys fans for heart break season ending loss. Who knows, we may find one more acorn along the way. Glad some of ya'll enjoyed the game.

Where Are All The Cowboy Fans?
I will be dead and in my grave and still be a Boys fan!!! Its really doesn't boil down to December. When its said and and done, Jan. would be the month to be remembered. Last time I checked, Dallas only had one team that has had a better Jan, and that would be Pittsburg. I guess you could say the rest of the league goes in the crapper as well. After all, We have 5 trophies? HOw many times has your team went in the crapper. There are 29 other teams that haven't done as good as the boys in Jan. ;D

Athletes and coaches are two way street. How many athletes tell there coach they are there for 4 years and leave early for the money themselves. If a coach does it to better his family, he's a dirt bag, if a student athlete does it, its just part of the system. How many athletes do dumb stuff and put their coaches in the limelight for making a choice to play him or set him because of off field incidents? Again, just speed bumps in the road that coaches deal with . The NCAA sets the rules, they could prevent this with a simple rule put in place. Its that easy!!!!

Best college football player ever
Roger Staubach was a Heisman winner. Served his country for 6 yrs I believe before taking his spot in the NFL. He may have not been the best, but he sure was a positive role model for this nation. He'll always be number one in Texas!!! and he wasn't a Texas boy!!

Best college football player ever
I would say the guys that the awards were named after had to blaze a trail for others. Doak Walker must have done something to have a prestigous college award named after. Thorpe, Maxwell, Heisman, the Outlandtrophy. I have trouble seperating the great passers and the great runners of the QB position. If you talk about running QB's, Neb and OU had some great QB's running the option. If you talk about passers, theres a ton of those out there as well. Greatest ever, I dont have a clue, but I have seen some great performances.

Seems like football could wait till the coach finished the season. I gotta love ND. Just another successfull college football program that when it wins, takes the hate off of Texas some. Nay, most are raised to hate Texas!! lol. Hookem

heavy hydrilla tactics
Theres a time when standard practice don't penatrate late season grass that grew to the surface , droughts, draw downs left thick grass mats on the surface. A drop in a few feet late season will make punching grass difficult. We simply used Florida Screw locks, or pegged the sinker. 1.5 oz weights pegged and tossed about 10-15 feet straight up in the air to punch mates. Gravity does the trick. The slack was already there and it shot to the bottom, A ten inch black power worm sprayed and lubbed for easy sliding. Lift the bait about a six inches to a foot and shake, drop let set, lift and shake three times on the bottom and move on. I used this tecnique in the 2008 Championship on Richland Chambers in Sept. on the grass mats towards the dams.

I have seen a few missile shots go astray in my Naval days. The spiral is plausible, can't explain the blue color.

WE didn't have alot to trade up or down with. To do that, you have to mortgage the future by using future draft picks. I see your Rose Colored Glasses comment. hmmm!

Where Are All The Cowboy Fans?
This years draft addressed the need for ball hawks that could contribute immediatley on special teams. Notice the lack of turnovers the past few years! Each defensive player they got addressed those needs. The safety and Corner from Cincy had 21 turnovers between them. The kicker addressed the 35 yard average starting field position. Took the Ball St Offensive linemen who graded out at 82% and could start if asked. Pass rushers on the edge. Got talent there, one guy forced 5 fumbles from the edge, one was sack leader. Can't play if your injuried!!!!!!! The rookie class got hurt in training camp. Can't blame Jerry for that! Too early to gamble. Moving up means giving future picks or current talent. What we had is a good back up TE, Bennett. 3 good running backs with the verdict still out on Felix Jones being injury prone. What else do we have to trade with? Sorry, not many teams that bring in 6 new starters on defense gel untill late season. One issue in the offseason that was talked about was the departure of TO. We couldn't have got up that high in the draft to get a WR. Fact, very few WR's are impact players first year! For the few who are, there are 10 that weren't, its a gamble. During the Parcel years and prior, Dallas was one of the least injury prone teams going, we have been blessed on that aspect. So the odds are in your favor, your due for some injuries and the boys have had their share the past two years. Jerry Jones has tried to spend the money to get talent. The sorry years were with unknowns at coach. Campo???? Switzer???? Say what you want to about Jerry Jones! How do you account for all the penalties under Parcels? Can't blame that on Jerry. Or under Wade? Can't win if your turning the ball over, most penalized team in football. Those are characteristics of multiiple coaches over the years. I love my Cowboys, but see it differently. Jerry controls coaches, I will give you that. Hard to fire a guy that goes 13-3 during the TO saga. Wade and Garrett need to go if they don't win a playoff game this season. I would love to have Shanahan in Dallas.

Why women shouldn't take MEN shopping

Texas Longhorns 13-0
Ain't that the truth, however, given the mess the BCS has in calculating formula, we might still made it. I think you are wrong on "Slaying Goliath". I think they will be match up real well. Media just sells the hype to get attention which creates more advertising revenue. Which ever team feels less pressure and more focus will win. Oh no, I like being the underdog. I have no expectations. Less crow to eat that way!! Did ya know that Texas is 7-0-1 alltime against Bama? Bama is due! 8-)

Black Shirts of Nebraska
Was glad he got invite. Was certainly one of the top 5 athletes in college football. 3 teams with 1 win in the pros, who needs a QB, who needs defense? I meant defensive player?

Where Are All The Cowboy Fans?
b, does it matter, it was marketing tool that apparently worked back then. I'd give the vote to the Saints as America's team. They have no rivals or enemies per say, history of that franchise and Katrina have the "who dat" as the nations sentimental favorites. who dat!

Steelers lose, again!
I'd pray to have lost those games. One more bad year isn't gonna hurt. Al Davis would be dumb to pass on Suh in the draft!!! He looks like impact player on defense. Congrats on beating an ole AFC rival.

Steelers lose, again!
History of Super Bowl champs having hangover the year after still holding true on percentage of teams not making the playoffs next season!

Where Are All The Cowboy Fans?
And HISTORY is HISTORY....... If that's true then why do you boys fans always harp on the HISTORY of your 5 bowl rings? ;D Why, rather obvious! Cowboy fans didn't start this thread to rub salt in Dallas December woes did they? It wasn't fans, so who was it? Maybe jealous haters? So, you ask why? You ask about our Decembers? Well, truth be told, turn it around. We have had 5 great January's as oppossed to your how many? I guess when you rub salt in others wounds, expect to get a little back. Now, how do you see this again? History is History and the only other fans that really have the right would be Pittsburg! They have more bling bling than the team I have pulled for my whole life. About Jerry Jones, I don't have to like him or his product!!!!!! I'm a fan, fan or Roger Staubach and Tom Landry days. Most of all, I'm a fan of football. Sure is along time between Feb and Sept. isn't there? Hookem

Texas Longhorns 13-0
Its simple respect given to the other team, sometimes called good sportsmanship! Bama might not be there if Cody hadn't of blocked the FG against Tenn. I think Cody was responsible for that. If you want to run the ball, you better account for Cody! You better know he comes in on goal line offensive plays like Suh does! Bama don't want any BEVO steaks, Neb has cornfed beef, much better than that ole range cattle steak. I'll keep saying it. Slaying Goliath will be no easy task. I hope we do the Big XII proud and not lay the golden goose egg!

Hey deep fryer fans!
Peanut oil is supposed to be healthy, but cost more. Dad froze his oil to keep it fresh also. Lou Anns peanut oil was one of the cheapiest he could get and it came from Sam's.

If anyone would know some home cookin, it would be the SEC officials for sure. Or did they have to borrow some to finish the season due to suspensions of your crews for poor calls all year? LOL We didn't stand a chance against the "Greatest College Team EVER" in the 2005 Rose Bowl either, and how did that turn out? National Champs!!!! We gonna watch Bevo do the Bevo Stomp!!!!
