Keeping her interested
I have gotten my wife on the lake with me a couple times, and she always tells me she gets bored using spinners or a buzzbait (these baits work very well on the pond behind our house), so she wants to use a bobber??? I dont get how that is any more exciting... Oh well, I am going to try again when it get nicer outside. This time I am going to go out first and try the pond before sending her out to see if they are biting or not.

which line for which setup
Well the braid was digging into the spool at 30lb so I up'd it to 65 and its works great for me now. But would mono or Floro work best for weightless using a baitcaster?

which line for which setup
I would like to know this also, I have a Revo STX and Pro Qualifier that I am planning on buying 7' MH rods for to fish weightless and frogs with. I now for the frogs I will go with braid, but I dont know what kind of line to use for weightless... I love braid but I want to try something different.

New handGun
I bought a S&W MP .40 for fun and home protection, it is a very reliable gun and accurate. I recently had someone brake into my house and I am glad I had it, it definitely made the intruder listen to what I had to say!!

Pelican Bass Raider
Mine is the pretty much the same but 10', mine is pre wired so I can have a trolling motor up front, and I have a small 3.5hp outboard for the back. Its a very stable boat, and easy to move place to place.

My first coyote!
I am already setup for that, I went out and bought a Johnny Stewart Predator two caller on Sunday. It works great for the price (40bucks) but its not as loud as some that I have heard so I am going to go to radio shack and buy a mini amp and a PA speaker to get some extra volume out of it.

My first coyote!
I am in Champaign, Looks like you are about 2.5 hours away or so... I cant believe you dont have any snow on the ground there... We only got about 4 inches or so here, but it was enough to get the dogs out looking for food...

My first coyote!
A buddy of mine took me out on my first ever coyote hunt. We went driving around and saw a yote run into a patch of standing corn. He dropped me off about 500 yards from the patch and I started quietly walking. Well I got to about 200 or so yards away and he takes off! I raise up and put one in him about 250 or so yards off with my first shot! I got him in the back legs as he started biting at them, I calmed myself down and took a knee and put one more in him to finish him off. I was soooo stoked up! My buddy said this is one of the biggest ones he has seen, saying it was about 40-45lbs.

Keeping reels outside when its cold
All my stuff is in the garage that is insulated pretty well... I don't really have too much room in the house to bring them in but can if it will ruin my gear.

Keeping reels outside when its cold
Is this a bad idea or will my reels be fine? I have always kept everything outside but now I am starting to get better gear and I don't want to hurt anything...

Catfish Help
Stick with the muddy areas, and either use chicken liver, or try and catch a bluegill or shad and use that as bait.... Also, when you rig your line make sure your weight can slide freely on your line, if the catfish feels resistance when picking up the bait it will let go. Also keep your spool open, dont close it, once you see your line start going out then set the hook. Check out this link for other info: http://www.catfished.com/page16.html

Handgun Advice- Buying
I have a M&P 40 and love it, I would say go to your local range and see if you can shoot several guns and see what fits you. I shot bot the XD, Glock, and M&P, and thought the M&P was a little more balanced.
