VA guys
Well the crankbait and jig bite on the Pamunkey is still hot! Went out for a couple hours yesterday and caught 9 keepers and a pile of short fish on my homemade finesse jigs and a Bandit 100 series.

VA guys
I launch out of Williams Landing on the New Kent/Hanover couny line, and I fish year round so I don't winterize my boat. And 5.25lbs is one helluva last fish for the year lol, where'd you get him?

caught another 4 pounda *pics*
He caught in the upper James River, but I forget the name of the ramp they launched from. And I believe he caught the fish on a 5-inch green pumpkin GYCB senko. See I got your back T9

Who makes the best crankbaits? What's your favorite?
I'm a huge fan of Bandit and Bagley cranks, but I also have my share of LC's, Lee Sisson's, and a couple Norman's.... These are my top 5 fish catchers for local waters. 1. Bandit 100 series. Chart/Shad 2. Bandit 200 series. Rootbeer 3. Bagley Kill'r B. Brown/Craw 4. Bagley B-Flat. Tennessee Shad 5. LC Gerald Swindle mini GDS. Chart/Shad And here's a few baits that I know I can catch fish on pretty much anywhere... 1. Bandit 200 series. Chart/Shad 2. LC Rick Clunn series. Copper Green Shad 3. 1/4oz Rat-L-Trap. Chrome/Blue back I like these baits because they just flat out catch fish for me consistently.

paca craws
I texas rig em with an 1/8-1/2oz weight and pitch them around shallow cover, awesome bait for bedding fish.

How do YOU fish a Swimming Senko?
I haven't done great with the swimming senko but I have caught some decent fish t-rigging it with an 1/8oz bullet weight. Throw it out and retrieve it slowly along the bottom, just fast enough to keep the tail kickin.

topwater trailor?
I've tried small clousers and finesse worms as trailers behind poppers, buzzbaits, and even sammy's and have never gotten a strike on the trailing bait. Not sure why but they just seem to ignore whatever it is hanging below the bait and go straight for the topwater.

Your "go-to" bait when fishing is really good...???
When it's really on, I love to throw a Stanley Bull Ribbit frog over really thick grass and through shoreline cover, and I also love to pitch and flip jigs and t-rigs to shallow cover...

Basspro48 Qualifies for Federation Championship
thanks for all your support guys, I'm really excited about this one because it is going to be held on either Lake Gaston or Buggs. Two really good fisheries that I have had success on. Again, thanks guys, and I'll be sure to slam a few lunkers for ya Sam 8-)

Best/Favourite baits and lures
Whenever the bite is tough, which is usually all the time around here, I always go to one of my homemade finesse jigs... This one happened to be my most productive this year, its tied on a 1/4oz Owner Jakobs Jighead with PB&J skirt strands and I usually add a GYCB DT grub as a trailer...

Favorite Baitcaster
I got plenty of nice 'casters. But my favorite would have to be my new Shimano Curado 100D, smoothest dang reel I've fished...

Fluorocarbon Green vs Clear
I've never really felt that line color made a difference, but I think that buying "colored" fluoro defeats the whole purpose of having an "invisible" line. Because I know for a fact that clear fluoro is pretty much invisible to the human eye in the water. Now I might understand if you were fishing water that has some slight color to it or a green tint (which in that case a green tinted line would blend in better) but you mentioned that you fish mostly clear waters so just go with the clear. But like I said before, I really don't think it makes that much of a difference

Kinda funny
This reminds me of something i saw a couple years ago on the way home from a baseball tournament. I was with my dad and we got stuck in a jam for about 45 minutes, when we finally got up the road far enough to see what was wrong I couldn't help laughing out loud. A flatbed carrying a load of watermelons had driven into the ditch and flung the watermelons all over the road, I mean there were smashed watermelons EVERYWHERE...

Stick Marsh expectations
Wow some very fine bass there. How is it down there around the end of March? My spring break is the last week of march this year and me and my dad are thinkin about headin down to the stick marsh for a little while. I know this is during the post spawn which is usually a pretty tough time so I'm just trying to decide if its gonna be worth the trip...

NEW All Star ASR Series
It's just an entry level rod? really? Cuz it looks freakin epic, by that I mean it looks like a high dollar 'performance' rod.

8'0" Flipping Rod?
I had a custom made 8' Mag-Hvy action St.Croix Avid flippin stick, I sold it after about 4 months. Mainly because I just didnt like the feel of the rod, it was quite heavy, felt unbalanced, and no where near as sensitive as I expected. There are much better new ulta-lightweight and sensitive 8' rods out there now, I just haven't the felt the need to go out and get a new one, yet...

Lucky Craft or Jackall
I would have to say LC because the Pointer 100 and Sammy 100 are 2 of the best baits ever made IMO... Not to mention I have never used a Jackall or MB bait before, after reading this I might have to try and order some though...

Lake Chesdin in Virginia
Triton9's dad has been out on Chesdin twice this week and I know he did pretty good. He was fishing a lot of submerged cover, big stump fields and a couple of ditches he found that are lined with stumps. He managed one over 5lbs, a couple 3's, and many other 2's and smaller keeper fish. And I think he said most of em came on a chartreuse shad LC Pointer 100.
