Flipin/pitchin At Timber
At those temps, the only choice for me would be a jig.

Veritas vs Vendetta vs Mojo bass
I got the 7-6 Veritas Flippin Stick on a whim about a week ago and remain quite impressed with the rod on the whole. It's a rod that is reasonably light yet has a lot of power to move fish. It has very fast recovery in terms of pitching; you could immediately set the hook on a fish after the bait hits the water. It's got just enough tip to pitch a light jig a decent distance and remain quite accurate. It's definitely not a Loomis or Dobyns, but it's not a bad stick at all.

Eco Pro Tungsten?
Picasso and TruTungsten were under the same "Fish Harder" umbrella, and Picasso is not in business anymore. From what I understand, stores have pre-season order stock and that's it. There is supposed to be another company that is going to produce the products but there's been only hearsay at this point. I've used Eco-Pro but it's got huge holes, pegging it is nearly impossible. The consistency of the weights are far from reliable as well. I have one batch of 3/16 that weighs just over 1/4, and I've some quarter that is dead on.

Color Coding Rods
I guess I've never thought about it, I just know which I'm looking for and where I keep them.

megabass vision 110
Megawhat? There's no such thing. It's all made up. I've never caught a fish on a Vision 110, particularly in the GG Mossback Golden Shad. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. I'm gonna miss my Popmax. I had one that had been custom painted, it was close to the GG Peacock, but a lot "sharper". I lost it to a muskie late last year. Almost had the little bugger in the boat, too.

What To Throw Here?
I'd be pitching a jig. Black and blue with a moderately sized trailer, most likely a Rage craw in black/blue or possible Okee craw.

How Do You Match The Hatch?
I disagree with that. It may be partly true on faster or stained water. Yet, go fish a gin clear spring creek with wary trout that have all the time in the world to inspect your bug before they eat. I've seen them refuse naturals of various species offering a preference for a female PED over a male. As far as the original topic, if you have an idea of the forage base, baitfish, bluegills, sunfish, crappie, and such, you have a head start in determining major factors. If they're keying on 4" shad, I'm not going to be fishing a black/blue jig. Matching the hatch, in bass fishing terms, would be more closely associated with establishing a pattern.

P-Line Voltage
Berkley 100% Fluoro High Seas Fluoro Abrazx and Invizx (First choice in this price category) Yo-Zuri Those are all lines I have fished or am currently fishing that I would rather fish over Fluoroclear. High Seas is marginally better than Fluoroclear in terms of memory, but the abrasion resistance and knot strength are what tips the scale.

P-Line Voltage
I'm not terribly fond of Fluoroclear, or CX. I will use CXX in a pinch but that's about it. I've tried fluoroclear under different conditions and have had several problems with the line. It doesn't retain very good knot strength, and it doesn't have that good abrasion resistance, and it's got memory similar to that of 5 strand 2" diameter bridge cable. I tie good knots and have had no issue with the other lines I've fished. There are far superior lines available in roughly the same price range.

Thinking About Buying A Sunglass ;what's Your Opinion?
/Boggle Is this for real? I mean...really? I thought April fools was three days ago.

Shakey Head Rod??
Holy cow man. That would be a sweet rig to have. I'm wishing I'd never have bought an NRX, I want everything to be the same as them.

JerkBait
I like the Pins, too, but don't use it like a traditional jerkbait. It's more a topwater twitch bait for me.

Choosing New Line
I would much rather fish braid or fluorocarbon than mono when fishing spinnerbaits. I'd definitely not go with XL on a casting rod, either. If you want a decent fluorocarbon, which is the better choice for an all around rod, I'd look into InvizX in either 12 or 15. I'd also highly recommend KVD line and lure. It will work wonders on the casting behaviour of your line.

Shakey Head Rod??
Shimano Cumara 7'2" Med Xfast. They classify it as a Dropshot rod, but it really isn't a one trick pony. It fishes a shakey head quite well. I fish other plastics on either an Avid 6'8" Med Xfast, or Loomis 6-8 Med Hvy Xfast.

Shimano Sustain 1000 Vs Shimano Stradic Ci4F 1000
I have both, and would say that if you don't mind the additional weight, the Sustain is the better reel.

whats your favorite rig and hook size for ...
That may be the case, but I've found that the 3/0 works best for me in the application. The thread topic was what's your favorite rig and hook size. That's my favorite hook size to use with them. The Owner Riggin hook ends up with roughly the same length and hook gap as the Straight/short shank flipping hook I use.

Lizards Vs Brush Hogs
Two different baits that I use for two different techniques entirely. I won't fish pre-spawn, spawn, or post spawn without having them both along. Now, if you'd ask me to debate Brush Hog vs Beaver, you'd have an apples to apples comparison.

JerkBait
The Xrap excels for me when the temps hit about 60. Then it becomes a super bait for me.
-
JerkBait
I fish the 100 probably 98% of the time, if I'm after a smaller profile bait I change to a different manufacturer, or I fish a 97MR for touchy fish, and have had great success with that bait when they don't want a 100.

Got My Champion
Nice. Glad you like it, I'm anxiously awaiting my DX795 because I know it's going to be everything and more.

Reel settings for pitching with a baitcaster
Since I've been home all day "working", I've been playing with the way Brauer recommends to set the reel. Thus far, I like the change. A little more initial effort, but I can see where the entry will change entirely.

Smelly Jelly VS JJ Magic
A year ago, I'd have assured you of the same. 6 months ago, I'd have entertained you to no end telling you what I went through when I spilled a jar of Methylate in the basement. WHOLE house smelled like garlic for about 2 months.

Strike King or Xcaliber square bill cranks ?
No, that's the 100 and 200. 100 is 2" and 1/2 oz, 200 is 2 3/4" and 5/8 oz, 300 is 3" and 3/4 oz.
