  1. I use the crankbait version. If I broke it tomorrow, I'd have another one on the way tomorrow night.
  2. This is exactly what we do but we also tuck our scissors, forceps, pliers and clippers behind it to hold them.

Don't overlook the XCalibur squarebill. I've used it a lot this spring and it is an excellent shallow bait. Max depth 4 feet.
  4. I haven't caught enough fish on a lipless to justify throwing it much. Spinnerbait all the way for me.
  5. I'd look at a Powell Diesel. What you want, is what I used it for and it works great.
  6. Yep. You will want that length eventually to make those loooooong casts.
  7. The Diesel. You can really fling it with that rod. I have a 7'6" Clunn S glass as well. I prefer the Diesel in all aspects.
  8. Pepper spray sucks a## worse than anything I can think of. After the five second ride, the taser stops. OC is the gift that keeps on giving.
  9. No video, just some new swear words. It was during a room clear and fortunately not many witnessed it.
  10. I got myself while switching cartridges last training glass. I didn't let off the trigger. It sucked.
  11. I've got it on two reels right now (12 lb). No issues.
  12. I have both. I prefer the PQ overall. However, if you have smallish hands, the Quantum may be the best choice for you since it is a little smaller overall and seems to be easier to palm.
  13. Similar conditions to what we had on a local lake the last two days. The secret was finding clean (no slime or green moss) weed and making sure it was near a creek channel. Under good conditions they were roaming a bit farther away from the channel maybe 30 feet or so, but if the wind picked up and switched or cloud cover arrived they dropped right back into the ditch. Less than 6 feet of water. Crankbaits ticking the weeds and pausing or burning it right down the channel did the trick.
  14. We have a tracker pt 175 tx and run a 24V 82lb Motor Guide. 3 batteries. IMO, you need the extra thrust because of the high sides and lite weight of the aluminum hull.
  15. 1. Walleye 2. Yellow Perch 3. Northern Pike 4. White Bass 5. Bluegills and Crappies 6. Small Bass
  16. Zoom green pumpkins.
  17. If you are going to step up to the Shock price point @50 bucks, take a look at the BPS Tourney Specials. They are pretty good sticks and better than the lightning rods (IMO) when you get up in that area. There are other options as well.
  18. Go ML. I have one that I have used on occasion with good results. IMO, you will not find a better rod at that price point.
  19. Spike it is all I use. The dip, for me, works a little better on soft plastics. But both work fine.
  20. The one we fish out of has an 80. There are times where it doesn't feel big enough.
  21. I fish a lot out of a 175 and it's been a good boat for us. The only time it gets tight is times like now when you have heavy clothes to take off and stow when it starts warming up.
  22. KVDs in Chartreuse with Black back, Green Gizzard Shad or Blueback Herring if you can find it. I've got a few others but those are the main ones.
  23. Abu Garcia Vengeance is in that price range. Decent, but feel a little stiff for their rating.
