This is why I dont eat taco bell.
^they are good! I'm pickier these days about what fast food I will eat, but I'll eat the bell once in a great while. My good buddy had to do some construction in one that was in operation and refuses to eat there anymore. He just says "rat meat". I've been a plumber for almost 20 years and it is safe to say that if you could see behind the scenes at most of the places a person eats at it would make you think twice. Roaches, old food hiding under ovens and fryers, mice, rats....... Anyone hungry yet?

White Death III
We've had more snow this winter than we have had in probably 20 years and winter is only half over (march is usually the snowiest month!) Oh, and we just got done with a week of sub zero temps. I hate winter.

Oil to gas ratio?

What are the little things that bother you?
Reels with swept handles. I have a couple and think they look cool, but if I'm not palming the reel for some reason, the handle hits my thumb. When I am palming the reel I do like the mechanics of it (the closer in control feeling).

How many rods?
Best case scenario: 5 casting 2 spinning less if boat or # of people is restrictive

HOW ABOUT THE PACK ATTACK!
OMG that's hilarious. Oh ya, the packers are going to the superbowl too.

universal line??
That's what happens when that nasty white crap falls from the sky and the water gets hard. Fisherman spend their time online reading through page after page of reviews, rethinking their entire arsenal of rods/reels, and every single lure in their tackle boxes. ;D i 2nd that!!! ;D I thought I was the only one that had that problem.

Removing plastic on cork of new rod handles
I've saw rods wrapped w/ stuff like this. Kind of makes your rod look like a golf club handle, but would do the trick if you hate cork that much.

the new DT-6 i talked myself into buying
I've done in 3 or more the same way. I'm a slow learner

Now that's standing behind your product.
I've been mostly a shimano guy for some time. I currently have 2 pure fishing reels and I'm curious to see if they will hold up like a shimano. They are definitely nice reels(my abu and pflue..), but I know for a fact shimano reels will stand the test of time. I hope I find the same result from pure fishing.

I love this old shot :-)
Man I'm jealous. We have a lot of good fishing oppurtunities here in MN, but giant bass isn't one of them. I've caught 4 bass in my lifetime that were 6#8oz. , my PB. If you catch a 7lber. in MN your doing good.

We lost a true friend
Hopefully there is Bass fishing in heaven. R.I.P. fishfordollars.

BPS finally has Verdicts in stock again - - UPDATED WITH PICTURES
I'm really itching to get a verdict, but no place near me has them. I plan on putting my new premier on it and using it for my senko rod. I wish they made a 6'9" xfast like they do in the veritas. I'll be using it around cover and docks in fairly close proximity and I'm thinking the 7 or 7'3 might be too long.

Red Braid
x2. PP red will bleed. On your rod, boat carpet.....

How many different brand plastics do you use?
The only true loyalty I have is to Yamamoto senkos 5"-7" worms. I know there are a lot of other companies that make worms very similar, but I've done well with them. I also have: zoom strike king yum berkley culprit

St. Croix Premier
I used that exact same rod for many years before upgrading. Not the most sensitive rod in the world, but a good solid rod. I caught my 2 personal best largemouth with that rod and my pb northern(40") also along with many many other fish. I have some better rods now, but that rod will always be remembered.

HOW ABOUT THE PACK ATTACK!
My Vikes had their shot last year and blew it. Its cool to see 2 teams from our division going head to head in the championship game. I'm expecting a real good game. If I had to pick I would give it to the Pack slightly. Anything can happen with a rivalry of this scale.

Quality??
I wouldn't pay retail, but I would sure like to have one. I had a 6'6" heavy GLX(784) and sold it with the thought of replacing it w/ a longer one. $ got tight and I never did.

Kistler Helium
They are great rods. Very light and very sensitive. If your not able to handle them 1st keep in mind that they have lighter tips than some brands of the same rating.

US Reels - SX Supercaster Series
I personally have not used them, but I looked into them at one time and read on another forum that there was some durability issues.

NRX rods
Yeah, it was something to do for the 2 boys and myself. Lots of stuff to look at. I bought some koppers lures( a soft bodied frog, a frog crank/wake bait, a jointed lipless minnow and a lipless pumpkinseed crank) all were 20% off. The kids and I also spent a lot of time at trout pond. Those nrx rods are a thing of beauty! It's hard to believe they could come up w/ something better than a glx, but they did. A lot of people think that most of the price comes from the name, but theres a reason that its hard to find a discount on loomis rods new or used. They're d--n good rods. I've owned several in the past and I'm trying to find a deal on a used glx. Currently I have several different rod brands and when it comes to comparing, I try to compare each to some sort of loomis( imx, glx....)

NRX rods
I know this thread is a little old, but I had to chime in. I went to the St. Paul sportsmans show yesterday and held a nrx for the 1st time. WOW! They sure feel nice!!! Wish I could afford one, but it probably won't happen. If I run into a chunk of $ it'll be the 1st thing I get.

Abu Veritas- I'm impressed
I picked up a med/ mod fast for cranks. It'll be a few months before I can use it though. I can't wait to see how sensitive it is also. Like you said, everything else about it is sure nice! I'm more than likely going to get a 7'3" verdict to put my new premier 7 to 1 on.

Opinions on these spinning reels
My dad had two Daiwa Coastal (Tierra) spinning reels he bought this year already fail after maybe 20 times fishing for small sharks. I would stay away from Daiwa spinning reels, but thats just me.
