  1. South Dakota?
  2. The ignorant few have spoiled it for the respectful ones. UNH, you do know someone in Windham, me, the invitation stands. I have taken a few BR members fishing on Cobbetts, I am not selfish, but I cannot just open the gate and say have fun, it's not worth me losing my access. The members that have fished it always want return trips, its a prime fishery.
  3. To fish cobbetts you only need to be or know a resident. The resident will need their fishing license, boat registration, and auto registration. They dont give keys to any boat over 15' and no canoes. They file your car registration so they know what cars are parked there, and they give you a sticker for your car window. They are very strict at the town hall, where the keys are obtained, and if you have that stuff, its $15 for the key.
  4. Cobbetts Sunday and Monday morning. Not many fish, but what I did catch was quality. Sunday was 4 Lm all 4lbs, plus a 4lb smallie, then Monday another 4 Lm all 4lbs. Launched right before sunrise, and luckily the clouds obscured the sun for most of the morning and kept the jetskis and waterskiers off the pond for a while.
  5. My daughter started kindergarten today, melancholy day in our house.
  6. The virus is blown up and used as a scare tactic. The poison sprayed to kill mosquitos is far more dangerous than the one in 100 million chance you will get west nile. Since when do we spray poison where our kids play to keep them from getting a virus that only a very small handful of people have contracted?
  7. Massebesic is worth it, I have found the bite to be hot and cold there, but with so much water, it's a fun place to fish.
  8. That's Manchester for you.
  9. I think a kid caught a gator out of nutts this summer.
  10. I don't think it matters "who dun it", what you have to do is learn from this and protect your stuff. Don't leave any valuables in your truck, and I personally would distance myself from this repeat offender.
  11. I believe it is best to employ any practice such as this to your entire life, and it will naturally translate to fishing.
  12. Is that the pond right next to 93 south? It looks real small, and probably very noisy with the highway feet away. If you go to wendys on south willow st, and follow that short road to the end, its maybe 1500 feet, theres a pond at the end, quieter and has nice fish in it.
  13. Ok, 3 day license for me, I'm in. Anyone live northerly that wants to carpool? Any seats on a boat available?
  14. If you have the clarks book he tells you where the access is, if you don't have the book, I can pm you later when I get home and look at it.

This makes me wanna slap the stupid out of someone. I'm frustrated and I don't even know this kid.
  16. I use the rage baby craw, regular craw, lobster and chunk, depending on what the fish tell me they want.
  17. To and too, 3rd grade stuff here. My brain is TOO small to figure out which one TO use.
  18. Ok, I'm 99.99% in, got the thumbs up from the wife, but a question, should I get the 1 day license or wing it? Obviously I know you guys can't say for sure, but any thoughts? Oh yeah, is there a seat for me?
  19. If you look in the clarks book he gives directions, the store is still there, and I know where the launch is but don't remember the street names, but I could drive there.
  20. What was her name and why wouldn't she listen?
  21. Shane, she was just enjoying the show, as long as I didn't reel him too close to the boat.
  22. I hit Canobie lake yesterday for 3 hours, a couple of 2-3 pounders and a friggin sea gull.
  23. So I hit the water for a couple hours yesterday with my wife, hoping to catch a couple bass and enjoy some conversation. Near the end of our time on the water, I cast out a Jackall deka hama kuru, not a cheap bait, and as soon as it hits the water, a giant seagull swoops down and snatches it. I have had birds swoop and attempt to grab my lures, but have always been paying attention, and have been able to reel fast enough to get away, but not this time. I now have this bird flying above our head, while I tug and jerk trying to get the lure free, and with every tug, the bird does some crazy acrobatic, not normal, flying maneuvers. This goes on for about 4 minutes, and finally I grab my knife to cut the line, there was no way I was reeling this ticked off bird into the canoe with my wife next to me. As soon as I grab the knife, he nosedives into the water next to us, does some spinny moves, while flapping his wings, and I manage to tug the lure free, and he immediately flies away, far away. I can now say I have caught my first bird.
  24. There is a canoe/jonboat public access, and it is a fantastic place to fish, good structure, and just a lot of area to find fish.
