Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Hopefully this is the end of the cold weather. After today our 10 day forecast shows a slow and steady ascent towards the mid-50*'s. Hopefully we can get the ice melted and get into some cruising prespawners.

Spinnerbait solution for wading?
Cut the qty down to 3. Pierce your ears and tie one to the rod... In all honesty, I use a plano box like @kenmitch

Suspending Lipless Crank Baits
I didn't realize Lewis Rattle Traps stop making them. I guess you can go old school and take a sinking one and drill it out and take ballast out until it suspends? Or you can buy the Ima Suspending Lipless Crankbait for 10 balloons, whatever works. Way to "guard them quite seriously"... Actually that's a really nice thing you just did.

How do you store your plastics
Thanks @MN Fisher, great info. Sounds like worm mutiny. Can't we all just get along?

How do you store your plastics
Some great answers here, but I'm just curious; Is there a reason why you wouldn't just remove from the original packaging and neatly sort and store in say Plano boxes?

Tackle Selection
The list from @roadwarrior is pretty spot on, I would suggest a couple of trap type baits and worms (you pick) to be t-rigged. Both will cast out further from the bank. As a well respected member here once told me. "Sometimes the fish aren't in here, but out there." Turned out to be great advice.

Up until Monday we were holding a record for the least amount of snow fall for the season. 16.7" will dash that record away. I actually don't care about the snow as much as I really, really hate single digit temps. I'm good from about 20* and greater. Winter in March just plain stinks.

Funniest personal fishing story
A few years back I was bank fishing in the morning. The only people around were the lifeguard kids getting ready for the day. These kids were college students on summer break. I was fishing a lipless crank and caught a pickerel. I pick the fish up by the lure so I can grab my pliers to release the fish. The little snot rocket was thrashing about and I caught one of the hooks in my hand. The same hand that's holding the bait that's hooked into the snot rockets mouth. With my free hand I try to calm the fish down so I can get the hook out of it's mouth. It thrashes more and the hook is getting deeper in my hand. Finally I get the fish unbuttoned but was in so much pain I didn't have the strength to pull the hook out. Finally I asked one of the kids to pull the hook out. He looks at my now bloodied hand and the look on his face was a look of queasiness. He says; "Mr. you don't have any diseases do you? Ya know, like aids?" Couldn't help but laugh. Gotta give the kid credit for asking!

Suspending Jerk Baits Attitude
Not a bad thing if they do crack. Instead of a suspending jerkbait, you got a sinking one. Back in the day anglers used to drill out floating jerkbait and add ballast then fill the hole to make them suspend or they would just leave a hole and let it fill with water to make them sink.

Extra thick jig skirt
I like the additional strands and really like the round rubber in the way they react in the water, but I always found them to be a bit of a pain casting them. Seem like the added strands catch way too much air...could just be me though. All of them posted here look great tho!
