Matthew, welcome to the community. As Darren mentions, you're doing well on your own. The advice given from the other members on this thread are very good and should be strongly considered. The best advice I can give to you is the more time you spend on the water the more you will learn. Experience is second to none. Read as others have advised and take the classroom to the field and put it into practice.

Low light, calm and clear water I'll take the dog walk. Low light is dusk and dawn. Pop when the water is as above, maybe a little more stained and when the dog needs a nap.

Big picture my friend. They've beaten teams with a depleted team on the o-line, running back and receiver and to not mention that they lost 2 linebackers that set the defense and a safety that settles the secondary. They get a lot back for the playoffs and I don't think they give a rat's @$$ if they're on the road or not.

Don't think for a minute that they rested guys like Endelman, Volmer, Hightower, and Chandler Jones on this game. They're looking at the bigger picture. 2 weeks until the first game... should be good for them

I don't think that color is being dismissed, I still want my lure to be seen in the water column. i fish clear (to me) waters and some days I'll find that a particular lure I'm using may have too much flash and I'll switch to a more subdued lure or vice versa and find success. Who knows what a bass sees, j don't know and I'm not qualified to make statements of how they do see. They do have eyes and I want to appeal to that sense. As Demny Brauer would say in his book: "It's one more thing to think about that can put the odds in your favor." So in terms of making my bait match the surroundings? Yeah, I'll buy a price of that pie ... on some days ... but I'm not all in. Location, depth, presentation and then dial in the color to the light and water conditions.

Dicks Sports in Brockton sells trolling motors now, which surprised me a bit. I never thought to stop to check them out, but just wanted to throw it out there.
