"Intersex" Male Bass Found Throughout Protected Northeast US Waters
I live just south of the Missisquoi reserve mentioned in the study. I can guarantee it's all from agriculture (runoff). There are no large populations (human wastes) along that river in either Vermont or Canada. However there is a huge amount of cows... The enormous blue/green algae blooms in the summer due to waste & silted in river/creek mouths (decreased water flow) together with the chemicals in said runoff are a huge problem. Agriculture up here is wreaking havoc on the environment/Lake Champlain.

Bearing upgrade for citica e
Did you clean the brake track? (yes even on the E's) Double check your bearings being clean, on top of that, what did you use for lube when you lubed them? Check the spool edges and frame where the spool sits. Play with the spool tension knob a bit. IF they truly are done, then I vote the Hawgtech 7's, Big Green Fish 7's or the Boca 5's as replacements. I buy all the Citica E's I can now for $40-$70. Add a drive shaft bearing (~$1) and smooth drag (~$8) and I have 99% of the performance of a Chronarch E for a third to half the money.

Uses for this casting rig
Jerkbaits, poppers, walking baits. Senkos. Smaller spinnerbaits.

Ultra Light lures
Yo Zuri Pins Minnow Small Rooster tails (longer blades spin closer to the body and have less lift, which is helpful in faster currents of a river). TINY Kastmasters or Pheobe spoons

Mend-It
You can save for later or do a repair on the spot (and wait a minute or 2). If done right, there are no weak spots. I've even used it to make baits. Downside? They can go bad if left in an unheated garage through a VT winter (thicken). The best "non-tackle" fishing purchase I have made.

Daiwa at BPS
With all the Tatulas, Zillions, etc being sold on ebay/Amazon for 20%-40% off retail, why would they want to complete with that?

Female Dog Name - Fishing Related
As the owner of 2 Huskies... Hadto-Geta-Dyson, Lint-Roller, and Nevergoingtowearblackagain (in Vermonter, it means lots of friggin' hair) are great names. Our girl is Kina, our boy is Wilfred. Orochi would be a great name (fits that prototypical exotic sounding husky name and is a pretty sick Megabass rod).

Your 2015 in Review - Goals for 2016
2015 Highlights: May 9th 2015. 87 Bass, including a 6.5lb Largemouth (PB from Lake Champlain, in my Avitar) 2 casts later a 5.9lb Smallmouth (All time PB). In August I made the Vermont TBF state team. Fishing wise the rest of the year was nothing special. 2016 goals: Participate in the Champlain Bass Series. Get the Ranger out more. A lot more... Do well at the TBF divisional in September on the St. Lawrence. Teach Mainebass1984 how to Carolina Rig... making him a weapon of Bass-destruction.

I've hit rock bottom...
Focus on yourself for a bit. Key word in that is focus... focus on getting to know yourself and not what you think you are to others. Focus on getting yourself right (exercise, read, enjoy being by yourself, eat new foods, etc). When you don't have focus, you tend to get into situations where you make decisions that hurt you (or make decisions that get you into dumb situations)... and you get deeper into the hole. In having focus you will find value in who you are. Once you find how valuable you are your confidence goes up. More confidence (not arrogance) will make everything you do better seriously! From fishing to dating, interviewing for jobs to studying up on new things. From there finding happiness is infinity easier. Read up on "True self vs False self". If you ask anybody on this board who is happy, I would be willing to bet that they are all to some extent Focused, know themselves, and have confidence. I don't know you and by no means mean to diminish the pain you are feeling, but I will say this, it could (and often in life does) always be worse... That being said you have/will learn a lot from this. If you are feeling like hurting yourself, please talk to someone, there is no shame in feeling bad and wanting to feel better.

I'm late to the Keitech party -- can someone catch me up?
4.8's on Eagle Claw Lazer swimbait hooks (ones on sale at tw). The "drop" in the shank allows the head to hunt back and forth. 3.8's on 2/0 EWG with nail weights in the belly...

Effect of a lake not freezing over for a season?
And to Piggyback off of this #3 less run off washing sediments into the ponds/lakes smothering weeds. Lake Champlain had this in 2011(?) with crazy run off and record high water levels in the spring. Then we got whacked by a Hurricane in the Fall and had more near record flooding. The weeds have still not comeback to what they were before, big sandy sloppy stretches of no or sparse weeds in areas that used to be jungles. Granted that's extreme, it happens on a lesser scale every year though.

TW lucky craft and powell rods
7'6" Carolina Rig coming my way...

TW lucky craft and powell rods
They are a bit on the "heavier" side, but for $50?!?!? The warranty is odd, $75 no questions replacement... only through a dealer that actually participates in the warranty program. BUT... $50...

River Smallies Testing My Patience
Relating to rocks as the temperature drops is a common trait. Rocks hold heat more/longer than wood. Bait will relate to the warmer area.

Keitech Sexy Impact Electric Shad
Little tail lasts 1 fish though.

Keitech Sexy Impact Electric Shad
I've fished them like a fluke, and was reasonably successful. Neko rigged they are deadly. On a Ned jig head they worked well.

Top Rain Suits
I have a Stormr Strykr jacket and love it. Thin enough to wear in summer storms. Insulated enough to wear when it's 20 out. The neoprene cuffs make water going up your sleeve a thing of the past. Gill KB1 pants. No elastic suspenders that keep from sliding off my shoulders. The full chest is another layer of warmth. Really smart design features as it's design for sailboat racing where there is a lot of moving/scrambling and a high potential to get caught on gear. https://gillna.com/p-282-kb1-racer-trousers.aspx

3 Top Ranger Execs Resign
Skeeter (and G3) are owned by Yamaha. I wonder if 2015 and older Rangers will get the "Pre-Rapala Wiggle Wart" treatment?
