  1. The only difference is split-grip vs. Full grip
  2. Perfect for plastics IMO. I have the same crucial but mine is 2" shorter

  5. Keep at it. Patience will prevail when you hook into a hoss.
  6. Whats your favorite brand(s) for; Rods, Reels, Line, hard baits, plastics, Tackle storage? Should be fun to see what every body really likes! I guess these are mine. Rods: I really into the SHIMANO lines and Falcon Lines right now Reels: Daiwa Guy Line: Sufix and Seagaur Hardbaits: Rapala(And Rapala brands), Strike King, and Xcalibur Plastics: Zoom, Yum, Strike King Storage: Plano/Falcon trays, inside a BPS bag(Stalker). What about you guys?
  7. Hey, it cant be all to bad. Hit up all the magazine stands and books stores for some fishing magazines! Just think of it as a learning time. And if your stomach problems keep up, you can always read on the john! ;D
  8. x2. They start and end in a few second with firefox Google Chrome you cant even view em' and IE I can view them about 75% of the time. the other 25% I get the same as chrome.
  9. Maybe i'm the in a minority, but I say go to your local wal-mart and pick up some 50# Power Pro braid for like, $10. IMO, it doesn't backlash, as often, as bad, and is much easier to clear, and the best part is, you can fish while learning to cast because when you backlash, you can undo the backlash, and dont really have to worry about pinching your line.
  10. BAD IDEA for braid. Fine for everything else. Power pro explodes when I use a lighter on it. Last few times I did it, it exploded molten Moss Green all over my hands and wrists. I had little pin-point burns for a few days. However I always use a lighter for mono/fluoro. Did it really explode?! Kaboom? Think of mortars on the 4th of July. No downsize it to an effective range of about 1 ft. It seemed like little balls of the green dye on fire flying in all direction. Maybe something with the dye. Swear on my life though it really did explode like a very small firework.
  11. My dad just upgraded to the new blue Stalker tackle bag (awesome btw) from the old red 370 Qualifier. When my mom noticed a different color and him wearing it has a backpack she questioned him. My dad's response was "No, I've always had this one!" Me and Dad keep our tackle obsession between each other ;D
  12. Alsooo, is the box everything was shipped in the biggest flat rate box? Question being it's kinda overflowin! ;D

  17. Braid- 40-65# - Jigs and T-rigs. Everything else gets 12- 17 lb fluoro, including topwaters.
  18. That sounds hypocritical ;D 832 is where it's at these days 8-)
  19. I'm not sure I think this new thing is a good idea though. How many people would like to contribute to the forums, but can't because they don't pay for e-mail? I don't know anyone who pays for e-mail.

I could never get up at 5:30. I have to wake up at 6 for school, but I normally actually wake up at 6:35. On the weekends I sleep till noon. I hate wasting that much time out of the day, but I can't help it. I'm a sleep freak. I go to bed around 10:30 and am dead for the first half of school. Then again why do we start school at 7:25? I'm with you. I set my alarm for 4:30 and hit snooze until 6:30, then wait in bed until my sister gets out of the shower. Then of course, no hot water, so the coldness wakes me up. Get dressed, take pain meds, learning begins a 7:40. On weekends I sleep until noon, usually about 1 unless Im going fishing. It's just so hard to go to bed early. I'm usually a 10:30 too. Good thing I'm smarter than everyone in my classes, and am a week ahead in my work, so I can sleep all day
  22. I'll let you all know when it's shipped out. Im really sorry for the wait though guys :-[
  23. It'll be the perfect rod for you. You'll enjoy everything about it, because you chose everything, where as a factory rod you may need to compromise a little.
  24. Out of the FC I've tried, (Seagaur AbrazX, InvizX, Red Label, P-Line, Trilene, Sufix,) I'd pass on the P-Line and go for some AbrazX, InvizX, or Sufix. I find Sufix as a nice medium between manageability and abrasion.
