  1. I also didn't really know what this song was about until I saw the video.
  2. Your welcome I too have blasted it numerous times in the car 8-)
  3. 90's and early 00's ForTheWin Baby!! ;D ;D ;D
  4. Still hurts like hell, really hasn't felt better. I have started to notice more pain like I might have cracked my heel also. My mom is going to try and get me to a doc tomorrow, but only one place takes our insurance, so we'll have to see if they have any openings tomorrow. As for walking, I try to walk normal on it, mainly because I'm embarrassed to be limping. But I really can't walk normally on it. I get the comments though about it being hard to walk regularly after walking funny for so long.
  5. Fluoro, Copoly, Braid? What do you prefer for shakies?
  6. Lets just say your fishing a tournament in Florida. You're on a very hot hollow body frog bite, but its in February and there is an unusual weather pattern, and due to such cold, the shallows and mats freeze a nice layer on top. So now that you frog bite has to end, how do you react and what do you switch to first?
  7. Well if you had a Color-C-Lector then you would know exactly which color YUM plastic to throw on your Roland Martin Signature rod 8-) On a serious not though, I go natural in clear water, dark at night, and bright in stained/muddy water
  8. But even so, wouldn't it be trespassing for fishing in it without permission?
  9. Its up to you really, If you find yourself not enjoying fishing with them, i'd sell them. But however If you still enjoy using 'em, keep using 'em till they break.
  10. Try it with braid and see what happens when you get something big on... It's the only knot I use with braid. I've pulled up a 67# fallen tree with #50 Power Pro. (Kinda funny, I weighed my catch ;D) I've also broken hooks on jigs before this knot has slipped or broke.
  11. I prefer the Uni. Simple, Quick, and never had one fail on me. Ever, no matter what line material.
  12. FWIW, i'm 5'10" and have zero issues using a 7'6" rod.
  13. Crucials are pretty good rods, and you really can't beat the lifetime over the counter exchange warranty, (If your store participates)
  14. "IT"S A BIG ONE!!!" "ALRIGHT!!" "WOOooo!!!" Congratulations Mike 8-)
  15. I like to think about half my posts are helpful to fellow anglers.
  16. I have the same problem with just a regular phone with internet. I found a solution, when you start up just google Bass Resource Forums. Then you can browse all the forums, and dont have to keep going back to google
  17. That doesn't make sense.. the line is still coming out at the tip, and with guides that spiral up the rod, common sense makes them more likely to want to twist... i have never felt my rod want to twist when fighting a fish.. i think the guys who posted before you were on the right track.. i think it has more to do with casting and line contact than preventing torsion When fighting a fish the line is in contact with all the guides, (Or most of them for that matter). And because the guides are on top of the rod, the line naturally pulls the rod down, and the line will want to turn the rod so it can be as low as possible (Under the rod, like spinning gear). You may not feel it want to rollover when fighting a fish. I dont. But there is Torsion. Quote : TTcal (Cal, over at Tackle Tour) "It's well documented that with guide placement on top of the rod as with conventional casting rods, there's a natural tendency for your rod to want to turn over so that the guides are on the bottom when under load. This twisting torque can shorten the life expectancy of your blank. Spiral wrapped guides neutralize this effect by bringing the guides back down to the bottom of the blank and letting you use all your, and the rod's energy in fighting the fish. " Also yes, like the guy above me said, it does prevent line contact, but he also mentioned what I said.
  18. Whats the purpose of them?
  19. It eliminates Torsion on the rod when fighting a fish. In everyday terms, when fighting a fish on bc equipment, because the guides are on top, and the line is pulling on it, the rod naturally wants to roll. Torsion. But this doesnt happen on spinning rods because the guides are on the bottom, and when the line pulls down their is no wanting of the blank to twist. No torsion.
  20. I usually try to avoid the doc, but I guess I'll go. :-/
  21. Hey J, I've put reels on rods at BPS to get the feel, but where do you cast? Just in the isles? Or do you get a employee to go out side with you while you cast. And do you bring your own line and lure?
  22. Designate is as your "Car Trunk" reel, just pair it with a nice 2 piece rod.
  23. My kids used to say the same thing, until they realized that in order to meet the State minimum of school days per school year, they had to stay later into June at the end of the year. It's a private school and our normal schedule exceeds the requirements and our school days are longer by an hour and a half. Last year when VA got spanked and we missed nearly 2 months of school, we still got out regular, June 18th-ishh, but we started every school day 10 minutes earlier, and ended 10 minutes later.
