So on Friday I definitely sprained my ankle, and most like tore or partially tore the ligament in the lower back-left of my left ankle/heel area. Its been pretty swollen, (Still is), and has a throb sort of pain, and I basically can't walk on it, I have to limp around school, and LAX conditioning. How long do these take to heal? I need to be able to run well to make the LAX team, but I don't want to make things worse. Also, I have a brace for it I got at CVS, will that do? Any good ways to relive pain after walking (Limping) around school all day and LAX conditioning? I've tried Icy Hot, Tylenol, etc, but they don't work all to well for me.

What will this new combo be used for?

Well my dad is looking for a new combo that he can use for fresh AND salt water. He's looking for about a 7'6" MH or H rod, and a reel with good capacity for saltwater. It has to stand up to saltwater abuse though. He's looking to spend around $80. I told him he might have to get casting gear though, because its rare to find a spinning rod in MH or H, that's relatively cheap. Any Suggestions? EDIT: My dad would be relatively new to casting reels, if he did in fact go with one.

What type of hooks do you all prefer for rage toads? Im assuming you all like the screw-locks, just wanting to know if there is anything better?

They just replaced all the decent stuff (Red Eye Shads, BOOYAH Spinnerbaits, Rage Tails, etc) In my Wally World with 16" saltwater fluorescent pink swimbaits. My Bass fishing section is Luck "E" Crap worms, eagle claw hooks, and Berkeley Vanish.

Getting the lure to rotate at the same speed as the line would be a challenge. Every reel is different.

It was pretty hard watching the Cowboys suck this year. But then again, I also get very emotionally attached to the games. I get mad and can't sleep. So Super Bowl and losing would probably be worse.

IIRC from Intro to Engineering class, Carbon Fiber is stronger, but more brittle, than say aluminum, which can bend to absorb energy well.
