  1. BAD IDEA for braid. Fine for everything else. Power pro explodes when I use a lighter on it. Last few times I did it, it exploded molten Moss Green all over my hands and wrists. I had little pin-point burns for a few days. However I always use a lighter for mono/fluoro.
  2. So if I have an existing "free" email, (Hotmail), do I have to change it to a non-free email? Because I don't have one. :-/
  3. Im trying to get it out ASAP. With my parents funky work schedules, and my Lacrosse, it may be a few days. Sorry for the wait :-/ But rest assured it shall be worth the wait 8-)
  4. 6'6" M/XF with a 6.X:1 or higher gear ratio Casting setup. Jerkbaits on spinning gear in my personal opinion is as uncomfortable as trying to fit into Thomas the Tank Engine underwear from when you were 3.
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe one of the advantages to fluoro is that it does not degrade when exposed to UV light, like regular nylon mono does. I belive you're right, but IIRC, it can get brittle at the knot
  6. When are we getting the question answers? :-?
  7. Im somewhat ambidextroius, but definately not in major motion things like sports. It sucks because in lacrosse you'll do SO much better if you can do everything with both hands. Me? I can only catch/pass/shoot well right hand dominant
  8. Great little worms, I also picked up alot of bags of the teq. sunrise. for 50 cents a bag. They're really a steal.
  9. Got the box today, will try and get it out soon. I took a few bags of plastics, about 10 cranks, a lure retriever, and the TD-X. I put about 13 Hardbaits, 2 swimbaits (NOT the Shadalicious type), a bag of Robo Worm Jig trailers, Put in some Culprit? (Think thats the brand) worms. Also I threw in some little hand poured baits I made, just to see if anyone can catch something with them! I believe its 2 frog type lures and 3 Fluke type lures. Also, Im assuming its alright if my Dad swaps a few too? Jw.
  10. Welcome to the family
  11. You think it may be a reel :) That, and I think I saw a few nice cranks I've got some really good stuff to go in though 8-) Whoever is after me is gonna be stoked!
  12. Update for anyone who wants to know: Today lax tryouts ended and I made the team, but didn't officially make the team. I still go to practice, and ride the bus with team to and from games, but i'm not on the team so I don't take up a roster spot while i'm useless. Later in the season though I might be able to play in some games! Woo-Hoo! Only 3&1/2 - 5&1/2 more weeks!... I think...
  13. Woo Hoo!!!! I already have my puts ready to go, and think I know what I might take 8-)
  14. Alberto Knot. Easy to tie, and you'll never know there is a knot when casting. You can use mono leaders, But I prefer fluoro. There are virtually no cons IMO to fluoro when its solely a leader. However, when fishing cranks and I want some stretch, i'll tie on a about 5 wraps on the spool and a rod length of mono.
  15. A perfectly balanced setup should balance right where you hold the rod and reel, so when you hold it there should be no tip weight. And for the Revo Vendetta thing, which revo? I thought it was only supposed to balance perfect with the SX
  16. ever watch Stacy King fish a 7' rod....he makes them look like 8' flipping sticks ;D but honestly...what does it matter? I've never understood the fascination with knowing EVERYTHING about a tournament win...It isn't the rod, boat, line, reel, bait, or cereal bar that wins a tournement, it's the angler. I know the pro's may plug certain specifics and everyone goes into an uproar about it because they saw them using something different. I never saw Velvick even touch a Duckett rod on Clear lake during the Bassmasters "coverage" but it was credited for the win. I doesn't matter if Harry puts specially matched tires on the car and you pass on the outside....rubbins racing. ok...I'm done +1 for the "Days of Thunder" quote 8-) My favorite movie of all time.
  17. If I hook into a Carp I'm putting my equipmemt to the test. That fish ain't stripping me down to the backing. I'll be fine just testing my drag, Not that i've ever hooked into anything that has taken me to my backing, you can never be too careful.
  18. Trilene Big game 660 yds at Wally world for like, $6 is what I use. Decent line. I use it for backing because If I hook into a big nasty carp I dont want to be trying to fight it on Zebco Omniflex or Shakespear line
  19. Use both, then choose which one the fish bite.
  20. What types of molds do you use?
  21. for $350 get a Daiwa Zillion, or SHIMANO Core, and blow the rest on tackle.
