The Road To The Super Bowl
Nobody in the Seahawks organization should even think about buying a lottery ticket anytime soon. They've used up their allotment of luck.

The Road To The Super Bowl
Can't believe I'm watching Seattle valiantly attempting to yank defeat from the toothless gums of victory.

Blank For My First Build
I've built two spinning rods recently, using Rainshadow Immortal blanks. Very impressed with this product, and will certainly build more rods on these blanks. Getbitoutdoors has them, along with top shelf customer service.

Best Rain Gear For The Price?
I have three different sets from Cabelas, from uninsulated up to a set good for sub-zero temps. All are excellent and all were bought at about half price. Guidewear is hard to beat. I got my wife a 100mph suit on sale from BPS. it is also a fine set of rain wear. The only thing I do not like about the 100mph set is the noise it makes while moving. While wearing this suit, you couldn't sneak up on a glass of water.

Question About New Rod?
FishTank, I have the same exact rod. I use mine mostly for drift fishing for trout. It says Walleye on the top of the rod where the trout can't see it, so it works just fine.

Got a cool new watch, a really nice Bose Bluetooth headphone set, and bought myself a NIB JDM Certate. Then had a good day with the grandkids.

Hate These Pfluger Spinning Reels
I have a Supreme and two Supreme XTs. I think the Supreme is the best bang for the buck spinning reel out there. All three of mine have been flawless.

End Of The Year ...wishing... Self Gift... Fishing List
I've had my eye on that. Be interested in your review. We throw out a lot of half bottles of wine. It would pay for itself, easily.

2015 Unofficial Road Trip (Also Known As The Baked Potato Classic)
The Bass Resource RoadTrip is one the things I look forward to every year. Seeing some old friends, and making new ones is, always one the highlights of the year for me. Being unable to attend tho 2015 trip is killing me, but I have no choice. I get a lot of time off. My full time job is a Monday - Thursday, 32 week per year thing, but I have no vacation time. I have two personal days per academic year, and I've used those for the past 7 years during the RoadTrip. I would have to spend two days driving down, one day of fishing, than two days driving home. Not gonna happen. I can easily see a bunch of us having a couple of unofficial trips every year. We should keep that idea alive, and see what happens. Chris, on a different note, you need to go trout fishing with us again.

2015 Unofficial Road Trip (Also Known As The Baked Potato Classic)
I made it to the 2008 RoadTrip, and haven't missed one since. I'm gonna have to miss this one. If I were retired, I could do it, but it's just too far for me to go this time.

Mullet In Freshwater Pond?
I've never seen any in any of the ponds I fish, but I do see one every now and then behind the wheel of a pickup.

What's Your Preference On Braid ?
If you rip the arse out of your knickers, Kanzen is better for stitching up emergency repairs. Power Pro, on the other hand is better for sewing on buttons. Neither is worth a sick monkey's flop for fishing.

Try it out for yourself. You just may find something you like; or not. Either way, you learned something.

Aeropress Coffee Press Question
The Aeropress uses small, round paper filters. No silt. Great cup of coffee once you learn how to make it to your taste. PM me when you get one and I'll send you my "recipe".

What's Your Dream Drop Shot Rod???
Trey, that looks like about as much fun as you can have with your pants on. I used to follow the same path; albeit at a bit lower on the food chain. A 6'9" ML-XF LTB, Alphas 103F and #6 XL. In a fit of stupidity, I sold the rod. I now use spinning gear for drop-shotting; a TD-X 6'10" ML-XF and Supreme XT reel and the same line. It's not as high end, or quite as much fun as my previous setup, but for no more than I drop-shot, it's plenty good enough.

What Have Been Some Of Your Better Buys In Rods And Reels?
Got two Daiwa spinning rods last year; a TD-X 6'10" ML and a Steez 7' ML. Paid $200 for the pair.

Joining The Ranks Of The Carpet Walkers
Congrats man. Bigbill is correct. Be prepared for a different type of tired. I've been a consultant for over 15 years, and I can tell you, it takes a while to learn to turn it off when you go home.
