60% of the time it works every time. Man, I love that movie.
  2. I am not picky when it comes to jigs, though one of my favorites have been the Gary Yamamoto jigs I found in a bargain bin at gander mountain. My favorie trailers are Zoom Super Chunks but I have some of the paca craws o try out soon.
  3. Nice fish. Some mono is better than others but it all has memory issues. Also, if the line is old I would think the memory problem would be more pronounced.
  4. Most times I go fishing I get skunked, unless I can manage to get out really early in the morning (before sunup). I fish from the bank and I have a hard time finding fish in the middle of the day or afternoon on KY lake.
  5. That Daiwa rod is pretty nice looking. Too bad they are out of stock. Although, I don't think I am allowed to put my Calcutta on a Daiwa rod. Some people would look down on that.
  6. That looks really good. What did you use to paint it? I would like to hear a follow up after you have fished it for awhile to see how it holds up. Over on the TT forums there are some guys that do some custom reels, you should check that out. Some of those are amazing.
  7. I have a Bionic Blade Flippin stick that it okay. It's not my favorite rod but I don't flip enough to justify a more expensive one. It suits my purposes and I don't regret buying it.
  8. Worm/Jig - Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon 17# (baitcaster) Crankbait, Spinnerbait, and topwater - Gamma Copolymer 12# (baitcaster) Flippin - Currently Spiderwire 50# braid until I use it up then it will be Suffix braid (baitcaster) I also have a spinning reel spooled with 10# Gamma Copoly and the spare with 30# Suffix braid. My finesse spinning rig has Gamma Copoly 4# and 6# on the spare spool. My Calcutta 300TE that is on the way for swimbaiting will get 20# Trilene Big Game.
  9. I got the fishing bug from my dad (my parents ran a bait shop for the first half of my life). But I had some friends that got me into bass fishing and then I found this site and a whole new fishing world was opened up to me.
  10. You could put those reels out pasture if you don't like them. By that I mean send them to me
  11. I saw this report and it was sad that it happened. It seems like they were doing everything they could to get it cleaned up ASAP. They also set up booms to prevent contamination of nearby areas.
  12. Sounds good, thanks for the help.

I am currently reading "The Last Patriot" by Brad Thor. It seems like it will be very interesting. It is something along the lines of "The DaVinci Code" but with American background.
  14. I recently purchased a used reel that is spooled with Suffix braided line. If this line is still in relatively good shape would I be able to take the line off the reel and spool it on another reel? Or, would it not be worth the trouble?
  15. I have subscribed to In-Fisherman and I currently subscribe to Bassmaster becasue I am a BASS member. I also read Bassin frequently. Bassin is my favorite fishing magazine because it focuses on bass but the technical aspect of In-fishermen is second to none.
  16. Go to loomis's website and look under the dealer section. It listed stores in Ashland, Somerset, Winchester, and some others.
  17. Loomis rods are nice, I have four of them and at least one more in my near future. Big Tom, I am not sure where Morehead, KY is but I am from Calvert City, KY (real close to KY Dam) and if you are ever in the area we could get together and and do some fishing and you can see what a Loomis is like.
  18. A Shakespere UL spinning combo (Synergy was the name, I think) that I bought at Gander Mountain. Fished with it one day and snapped the rod in half . I took it back o Gander that afternoon. Not to mention the incredibly large number of plastics that I have bought that have never seen water.

Are there plans for another movie?
  20. I have had just as good luck with the saltwater version as I have with the regular version. I think the salwater ones are a little more durable as well.
  21. An Ugly Stick would make a decent crank rod on a budget.
  22. I have tried a lot of different lines my favorite being Gamma Copoly followed by the yo-zuri lines. The Berkley 100% fluoro is also really nice. However, once I use up all the lines I have now I am going to switch all of my baitcaster to Trilen Big Game. It is cheap and I just really like it. I will probably continue using gamma or yo-zuri on my spinning rigs, for now.
  23. I was pretty happy with he fight card. However, I am angry with myself becaue I dozed off and missed the Silva fight. I can't believe they guy won that poked the other guy in the eye. I am pretty excited about antoher night of free fights next weekend though. I guess UFC wanted to put something up against EliteXC.
  24. If you a reel with a wiffle spool you can just put the line through a hole in the spool and start cranking. That's how I do it. Glad to see some feedback on the spooling stations. Been thinking about getting one myself.
  25. I think you are talking about what I call a skipjack. If so in the spring and early summer I catch them on about anything I throw, especially when crappie or bluegill fishing.
