The thing about any Scum model is that you don’t need to spread the hooks out like everything else. I’ve been throwing the original little one (and only in (grn/pepper) in more open water only. When it starts to get heavy the Trophy is all I need Mike

The only brand frog I use is the Scum. Either the original ones or Trophy Series. Softest frog there is. I haven’t tried the Launch yet because I never had a reason to change. Mike

No one can tell you why with any degree of certainty without being there. Hook set? Condition of tackle? How was it hooked? Drag set? How were you bringing it in? etc etc Mike

Don’t give up on it. With due respect, may I offer a suggestion? After you identify one of those holes, don’t try to cast into it. Throw past it about 10-15ft bringing it toward the hole with small straight line pulls between 2–4 second pauses. When you get to it, walk it inside before you move it out. If no hit, identify another and do the same all the way back. Unless there’s one directly under the first hole, be ready by the time you get to the 3rd or 4th. Mike
