You both gave us something to think about. When I bought mine I really didn't give it a lot thought. I bought my first one because I had too. I stuggled to decide which because of the price, not giving any thought at all about how it would perform which should have been the top priority and d**n the cost. In all the years I've been fishing I never checked what the actual pondage of drag each reel is set at..casting or spinning. Actually, I've never given it any thought. The only thing I can add to help you is consider line diameter, depth, cover and reel drag spec and adjust accordingly...with all that said I don't see how you would keep track of all the numbers for each possible combination for each combo you have. With Bell still on suspension, I'd play Williams for at least 1 more week. He got 100+ last week so he will get the majority of the carries. I don't like RB by committee, even tho Jordan did pretty good. I'd play Williams (which I am in all leagues) But that's me Good Luck Mike

Maclin tweaked his back but listed as probable as of now. But Back problems can be a freak thing. Johnson is still learning the offense after signing as a FA, didn't have a great day last week. If he gets Revis in his face all day that could hurt him. If it were me I'd play Johnson...but that's me. Good Luck Mike

Ditto As I don't have a boat the gallon bags would be more of a PITA. Too time consuming to dig around a bigger bag, looking for a smaller bag, take what I want, then put everything back the way it was. Let alone having to take something else in someone else's boat, then find a place for it that I can acces quickly without taking up too much space, which is at a premium as it is. But that's me. Don't use poppin frogs anymore. I have them but I've had excellent results with a Captain Dan Clone frog for a stop and go, or straight retrieve that displaces as much if not more water, depending on how I work it, than poppin one. For silent walking it's a Scum Frog. Mike

It's a great lttle reel. I heard about useing them as fly reels but never tried that. Learning how to fly fish is one of the things on my bucket list. I have mine in a sealed up Crown Royal velvet bag! Plan on giving it to one of my grandsons to learn on. Mike

You're exactly right..But I haven't used a pork trailer in years. Honestly, with all the different sizes and actions of the different plastic trailers available now a days, that also can be used as a stand alone bait, I really don't think of useing pork anymore. Mike

The vast majority of my fishing time is almost always spent in someone elses boat.(I have a lot of friends, and fish a bunch of tournament's) Anyway, that being said I will only take 6 combos with me with 3 designated for plastics and change out as the situation dictates.. I don't want to have to take the time looking for the right size hook, matched with the right size weight, and THEN look through a bag plastics to throw. My frog combo does triple duty as a Carolina setup and for soft swim baits. So everytime I want to change to one of those presentations I just grab a pre rigged hooked worm or swim bait, tie on and go. Same for my plastics rod...This time of year I have a 10" worm, Cut R and a Rage craw ready to tie. Punch rod? Same thing...2 different styles, colors and sizes ready at all times. Jig rod? Always leave the trailers on...Again I tie and throw. Point is, to me time and space standing on the back of someones else boat is at a premium. Especially if fishing for money. But No difference if we're just out for a day on the water. Been pre rigging plastics for years..So far no problems. Mike

Sensativity is very suggestive. There are many rods, by many well known manufacturers in your price range that should be considered. After all the suggestions come in let me give you something else to consider.. Think about finding a used Fenwick Techna AV or an older model (black) Shimano Cumara. IMHO, nothing you can buy new in that range for bottom contact sensativity, will be better than either of those 2. But that's just me. Mike
