  1. I've tried many differemt brands of shaky heads but keep coming back to the spot remover. When I did some testing in a pool with a Zoom trick worm I found that it didn't stand straight up either, but found that the angle did make the tail action in any amount of water movement an outstanding plus that I didn't expect. Mike
  2. Agree, I use 20# braid with 10 -15# floro leader Mike
  3. Yep..I've been useing 20# Invisix on my flippin rod and 15# for spinner's and plastic's for 2 yrs now. Spray it down with L&L the night before and all's well Mike
  4. I never thought about the warranty or a break in period! Good Point Thanks Mike
  5. Question... Do you clean and lube brand new reels out of box before you use them? I never did, but I plan on doing that from now on. Thanks Mike
  6. I've always felt that fishing just before a cold front comes through is always better than after. You can catch them both times, but a falling pressure always seems better. But you have to go! Mike
  7. J, question if I may...I don't own any XF action rod's, so bear with me....Useing an XF action rod "to protect the trebles from pulling out" seems like a contradiction to me, unless I'm reading your intent wrong. If you would please explain. Thanks Mike
  8. The JM Sig Reel is 115.00 w/ trade in! THAT my friends is worth more than a look. Mike
  9. 50# braid on my jig rod and 20# Invisix Floro on my flippin stick. I'll use either or depending on cover, both are tied direct. Mike
  10. I've been making my own for....Yeah a long time. I use 30 % Anise and 70% baby oil. Mike

Check out the Flambeau AZ series bag's. I use the AZ 8 it's the biggest, and it can get heavy but as a back of the boat co-angler I like to bring everything. The AZ 6 and AZ 4 might be what you're looking for. I have a BPS horizontal tray Stalker bag that I used a few times, and a Cabellas, but to me the pockets, keepers, everything about the AZ series seems just right. Good luck in your search. Mike
  12. Jig's...Allstar ASR Soft Plastic...Fenwick Techna AV Spinner / Chatter...Phenix MI Mike
  13. What you have now are all good choices. I would add: Senko's for texas and wacky rigging Frog's [scum or phat popping] Spinnerbait's Bladed jig's [chatterbait] Floating worms for shakey heads Sq bill crank's Mike
  14. Well I know I'm in the minority here, but I think the JM Signature model is one of the best 150.00 reel made by any company anywhere. Also in my opinoin, the PQ IS the best 100.00 reel that anyboby makes..Period Mike
  15. Yep, Me too Mike
  16. That man knows how to give a report!! Thanks, Great Job. Mike
  17. White / Blue Chrome / Black Mike
  18. I hate people who start a conversation by saying ...Do you know who I am?? Anyway, I will be going to the FLW Expo and weigh in at the Big O tourn on Feb 9-10 and attend the Chevy Pro night and have dinner with all the Chevy sponsored pro's. That ought to be something! Mike
  19. I've thought about keeping a log for years. As I only fish in Florida lakes I thought at one time it would really be an advantage, but I never did But since i average 2 tourn a months and we make the cyle through all the major lakes..Big O, Toho [Kissimee Chain] Hariss Chain etc. and the smaller secondary ones...Istokpoga, June, Caloosahatchee river, Crooked, Placid etc. Over time [a LOT of time] the log kinda stays in the head. BUT, that being said I wish I would have done it anyway. Can't always remember where, how, when, and what for all, all the time. I too found your results very interesting and makes me wish I started one a long time ago. Mike
  20. I use 20# Power Pro with a 10# Floro leader on a 3000 FJ Symtere reel Mike
