Advocate to have returning boats cross a specific point at which time they will be considered “checked in” Then proceed to weigh-in in a first in basis or by boat number with the fish remaining in the live well until it’s their time. It’s easier on the fish and traffic flow. A 20 boat field is rather small so there shouldn’t be any problems. If none of that works @Dwight Hottle has your only option. Mike

Which is fairly surprising down here. I’d bet it has a lot to do with the different waters and of course seasons. My biggest fish on The Lake are mostly caught before 10:00, at least in the 3-5 areas I rotate through the most, which are all different at different times of the year. Seems the farther North I go (Stick, St Johns River, Kissimmee Chain, especially Toho) late morning to early afternoon is the sweet spot. Mike

Down here I’d hit the edges of a hard reed line out to about 3-5 ft, starting with a frog, weightless stick bait and then a Speed Worm. If there is scattered grasses or pads, I’d still start at the edges working my way in as far as I can cast at obvious changes. Speed Worm first for just a little bit, then farther inside with the frog then the stick worm or creature plastic. All the while moving along until the first strike then hit it hard. As the day went on and the sun gets higher, everything gets put away and punch till I can’t punch any longer. Mike
