  1. I'm boat shopping as well. I decided that I am getting an Aluminum for sure however I am with you on brand. My issue is there are not any Trackers locally. I went to my local dealership and was told they hadn't had a used Tracker on the lot for 3 years. Facebook and Craigslist returns one for sale within 200 miles its a 2008 that they want $7500 with no electronics and seats in unusable condition (Oh and price non negotiable). I will have to check Lund and Lowe, I have tried Ranger and Alumacraft with no luck as well. I chalk it up to not many people using Aluminum boats on Erie. GL in your shopping, I hope you get what your looking for.
  2. I was really hoping this was going to be an announcement for a new Tesla Outboard.
  3. I would second the cleaning and the issue coming from the AR bearing after seeing the video.
  4. Are you turning the handle to disengage the reel before you start twitch? I know its a silly question but you'd be surprise how many people I've seen not do this and just start jerking. If that is not the case it is definitely a drag issue. I would take it apart if you have the confidence and make sure the drag washers are clear of grease and oil also see if there are any glaring defects on the washers. I am an Abu nut but I don't have the X.
  5. I pulled the trigger on the ALX. It is very small but I like it and it balances really well with my Kistler Helium 3 rod.
  6. go to the section you want and look at the back end of the isle they will usually have stuff marked down and mis tagged. I bought my kids a ride on electric horse with its own stall reg price $249.99 on sale for $149 but they mistagged it and I walked out with it for $1.49, yes under $2. I also find that getting an associate to help you in the isle instead of arguing with the cashier betters your chances.
  7. The Kistler H3 and Tatula is almost my exact t-rig combo I use the Tatula CT SV on a H3 LMH for light t-rigs. I can use this combo all day and not get any fatigue or cramps. It is one of the most lightest combo if not the lightest combo I have. I would throw my hat into the H3 basket.
  8. ahh good ole Wal-Mart in the spring my local one had every Skeet Reese rod marked with a $15 price tag that rang up as a Hank Parker rod. I bought all of them they had at $15 a pop (11 of them) and then sold all of them online within a week. I love looking in the back of isles at walmart to find all the crazy price errors they have. I could go on and on about everything I bought super cheap from miss labels.
  9. I'm curious to know to. From what I have read it was basically STX internals with the small MGX2 Frame and Light MGX2 spool.
  10. I am looking to upgrade my boat to a newer one. I am on the fence between a Bass Tracker Pro Team 175 or a 19' Nitro (Both pre-owned). Does insurance fluctuate base on building material and motor size like they do with motorcycles. The Tracker is newer (2008) and has a 75hp and the Nitro (2004) has a 125hp I wasn't sure if the fiberglass and bigger motor would make a higher premium and my current agent couldn't tell me without having serial numbers.
  11. I can either reel for $115 which is better and why? I know the Smoke is newer and the ALX is discontinued. The reel would be 8:1 for flipping and pitching. I am not looking for alternative reels only out of these 2. Thank You
  12. I wouldn't feel comfortable renting a lure. If it snags or breaks off I'm paying for a new lure and the rental fee.
  13. You can search "coupons" or "Deals". Another way is look up the Sharkey III and under the price it'll say "Save $ with coupon". click the hyperlink and it will apply the coupon.
  14. Omega Custom Tackle is having 20% off site wide starting the 23rd.
  15. KastKing Sharky III. I got a feeling they'll be in your price point for Black Friday. Also keep an eye out on Amazon coupons for discounts on the Sharky III.
  16. In other words I need to start buying up Pflueger and Abu Reels before they are non existent.
  17. Unfortunately this thread is 10 years old and not one person in the previous thread is still active my friend. I to wish I would have came across this thread sooner to buy a melting pot as well.
  18. I'm in for the win
  19. I really like the Omega Custom Tackle Pro-Mega Structure jig for around timber and laydowns.
  20. check out Kistler they have a few Mod and MF action rods in their mid range lineups but once you get into the high end its all F or XF and this is because of what @Delaware Valley Tackle said they are produced for sensitivity type presentations where most people prefer the faster action.
  21. Tackle Advisors is a clown. If it doesn't say Shimano than its garbage to him. He also has some weird resentment towards any OEM produced reels (KK, Abu, Lews, etc).
  22. I honestly believe that is going to work out great for both and help strengthen the reputation for KastKing.
  23. NW Ohio and I am done with bass. Boat is still ready to go because I have been on Erie for the last few weeks catching Walleye and Yellow Perch to stock the freezer for the winter. But the boat will be winterized in the next couple weeks.
  24. I was on Fisherman's Central website last night and was wondering where Pinnacle went. I just thought they quit carrying them until I jumped to see TW didn't have them either. Its a shame really.
  25. Magnesium 2 are $149 and KLX is $199
