  1. you watch for it to jump where it enters the water. The fact that it does sink it the reason you can see it jump better as well as feel it better. Much less slack in the line. I switched from braid earlier this year, maybe 4 months ago, and havent looked back. I only have 1 reel with braid on it, and haven't fished it since then. Might be taking that braid off as well. No frog fishing or A-rigs in a while, so no need. Jeff
  2. I'm pretty sure he means the tail vertical and not like a craw! Jeff
  3. Yes. I have switched all bottom baits to flouro. Everything else gets yo-zuri hybrid. Jeff BTW> in response to smalljaw, I ALWAYS have a finger on the line with bottom baits. That is how my dad taught me years ago
  4. Yes it will. Make sure it has a fast or extra fast taper thoug. Jeff
  5. 12-20 lb is the line rating. I think you would be happier with a mh rod with a fast taper! Jeff
  6. Wow... RIP Wild Bill Jeff
  7. Thanks, you just cost me 350 for a righty! Jeff

  12. If the old models go on clearance, I will ****** another up, because I like the full grip and take care of my stuff. I guess poop happens, but you know, its a decision I would have to make and live with! Jeff

Alex, If you are that worried, the best way is a bag with water in it. Place fish in, weigh, remove fish, weigh again and do the math. Jeff

I use a 15lb Boga for mine, but in the past have used a Berkley scale with a hook. If you are going to hook them under the gill plate, make sure to not get a gill in the way. No sense in causing harm this way. Best bet is a boga style scale. Jeff
  15. I have always been told only as long as you can hold your breath. But there is no scientific proof to my opinion! Most of the time I unhook, and let back into water with net, If I am going to weigh and picture. If not it is straight back into water Jeff
  16. Well that kind of sucks. But I guess if you still want the best, you gotta pay! Jeff
  17. I like really full jigs. That is about all I will fish. Could never find any in the stores with enough skirt material. I actually started tying my own because of this reason. Jeff
  18. I would assume that they would just send the new model. I hope your info is incorrect! Jeff
  19. That is pretty funny! Didn't even see that until you pointed it out. Mike, I actually have a split grip that I do LOVE, and it is my Pinnacle 70ml/f. Really in all honesty it is my favorite spinning rod, over my croix elite and others.... Jeff
  20. OK.....deal! You would want the spit grips? I will take any bcr854, 844, just a jig rod....you know what I use! Jeff
  21. If I can find the older model bcr854glx at a deal I WILL but another! Jeff
