  2. Check out these links. I think you are missing the boat here. My personal rod is this one, and I think you would be VERY happy with it. DHC5-701SPML Medium Light/Spinning 8+Top 6-12 1/16-3/8 7’0" (1) $159.99 Jeff
  3. Silly, those are built in "on-plane stabilizers" Jeff
  4. Pinnacle DHC5-721SPM, and don't look back! I have the ml/f and it is one of , if not my favorite rod! Jeff
  5. I have fished there some time ago with my father when he was tourney fishing. I remember him catching a very young gator on a crankbait, and as soon as he got it unhooked, it was already yelping, and here comes mama! We booked it out of there! Quick! Jeff
  6. I actually LOL'd at that one! Thanks for the laugh! Jeff
  7. Without a doubt, my favorite rod I own, while not the most expensive is a Pinnacle perfecta 6'8''ml/f and ci4 2500. It is my smallmouth rod. That being said, it is a little out of your price range. I found the rod for $125, which would leave you $75 for a reel, which the president would keep you in your price range! Have I mentioned, I love my Pinnacle! Jeff
  8. Woohoo! Congrats! Jeff
  9. Welcome! Gibson county has some monsters in there, but it is deep and a ton of brush. Beech and Graham are also good lakes with healthy bass populations. Graham in particular is like a stump field. Be careful where you run with the big motor! Jeff
  10. I tried to find you some vintage Franzia for your birthday, but it was all old and sour just like........ Well Never mind! Happy Birthday! Jeff
  11. BIG! Thats all the weight you need! BIG Congrats! Jeff
  12. I have fished with several other members on this board, including some from out of state! I am always willing to meet up and fish with others! To date, I can think of probably 15+ other members on here I have fished with(maybe more including road trip) Jeff
  13. Anytime you stop through, it will be a throw down! Jeff
  14. Was supposed to fish in a charity tourney this weekend, but some things didn't work out, so we decided to go catfishing. First time I had been dedicated catfishing in over 15 years but we had a blast. Method was verticle fishing in 20-35 fow with chicken livers and 2 oz weights. Bouncing it on the bottom while floating down the river. We caught 26 in all, but brought home 24. ONe was to big and one was too small. Almost exact mix of blue cats and channel cats. Here are a couple pics.... Nick's big blue: Jeff
  15. The most important part of this whole layout is the Burrito storage space! LOL NICE Jeff
  16. He does use a mod/fast rod. It is specifically the St. Croix Rage rod 7'11'' Heavy Mod/fast Jeff
  17. I would throw both of those, no questions asked! Jeff
  18. But a horrible morning! Jeff
  19. WOW!!!! Very nice. I recognize some of those from a distance. Some not so much! Besides, we don't need that many bar stools for a Road Trip. It would be a fall hazard! Jeff
  20. I keep my boat in my backyard with a cover. It is a pain to roll it through the side yard, but have a trailer dolly for now. Next up is a concrete pad and drive to the back gate. Then it will be a piece of cake! Jeff
  21. Sold mine from page one link last night. Jeff
  22. There are many more knowledgeable about smallies than me, but my guess would be like you, between 4-5. Nice fish though! Jeff
  23. Ha Ha. Attemts at turning you so that the avid is still in the flea market! Nice! Jeff
  24. oh....sorry! If I didn't already have 2 of those, I would have snatched it up already. Just bought another avid today myself, AVC70mhm Jeff
  25. Just a guess, but have you noticed any new grass/weeds? I would be some type of summer plant has grown and cleared the water for you. Good luck on the fishing. Jeff
