  1. Yeah I don't know if they still do but they use to make other good ones like the Hot Lips Express.
  2. Luhr Jensen has made several good baits.
  3. Yep, that's a good find.
  4. I know exactly where all my tackle is, right where I left it ?
  5. I ordered from them a few weeks ago. Took about 7-8 days to get my order but it was complete so that's all I really ask.
  6. I listened to the storms while I was working OT last night 10pm-2am. We just had heavy downpours, lightning, and wind.
  7. I wish they'd just left it. It didn't change for regular season, why then does it change for the play offs? Win in regulation and make it so OT doesn't matter (like don't allow a team to score a FG in 13 seconds). Same thing happened to the Chiefs in the AFC championship against the Patriots a few years ago. I don't think the outcome would have been any different then because their defense could do nothing to stop TB12 all night, no way it was going to suddenly change in OT just because they got the ball.
  8. So you want to do a tiny T-rig and not a Ned rig? As long as the hook fits the bait it should be fine. I use the Owner Cover Shot for T-rigging very thin plastics.
  9. I tossed my anchor out of my 2 man when I was a teenager, not realizing the rope had tangled around the handles of both my reels. Of course they untangled once overboard. It was summer time but the water was really murky. Took me about an hour of diving around in 5-7' of water before I recovered both of them.
  10. The hook on the 3" is pretty small, not a lot of gap either. If they eat it deep, likely getting the thin skin in the roof of the mouth that tears easily, making it pretty easy for them to toss the bait. It's a very natural swim IMO. A live fish doesn't move it's head very much while swimming, mostly just it's tail.
  11. Some days I seem to get a lot of little tail pullers with those baits. When they really want them, I've had a pretty good hook up ratio with the 4" version.
  12. I actually use a Fuego SV for my main jerkbait rod. Great for casting jerkbaits in the wind but without having to deal with ice in the T-wing, which is awful.
  13. One of my favorite patterns that I make is a golden shiner colored bait. It works well on cloudy days or stained water but really shines in water than has a tannic stain. My favorite trailer isn't available anymore, it was a color of Pit Boss that was called Blue Shiner I think? I also have a lot of the Pit Boss chunks in white that work well. Bluegill Flash is another color that looks good on them. It's a good big fish color.
  14. If you can figure out how to catch them offshore in the lakes I fish, you're better than I am at it. I've tried countless times and it's almost always fighting a losing battle. The only exception is lakes with grass, but that's a short list. I do agree with the early morning bite. I've had too many hot bites between 7 and 10 am in January just for the bite to die in the afternoon when it warms up.
  15. Braid to leader? Just one more knot to fail. I run mono or copolymer. Only lost 2 jerkbaits all winter, both due to my negligence with retying and checking my line.
  16. Pretty difficult. I love my thumpers but gun to my head, that bait will work in more situations.
  17. I fished a tournament there first week of April a few years back and won it with an underspin with a 3.8 Fat Impact and a 110 bone colored jerkbait fishing small pockets off the mainlake where the channel swung in near shore around KC area. It had been kind of a drawn out winter like this year and fish were still prespawn so I think I was getting fish just moving up into those pocket getting ready to spawn.
  18. I've got an Old Town Sportsman 120 PDL and can stand in it no problem. I would not want to car top it often though. It's easy to load into my truck bed but that's a big difference than car topping.
  19. I've got 7 or 8 Stunnas in the 112 and 112+1. The slow sinking has really been productive in cold water for me.
  20. Haven't tried them but the Spro Rock Crawler is similar and runs deeper than a standard wart, have you tried them?
  21. War Eagle 1/2oz white with double gold hammered willowleafs.
  22. I got the EWG Ned mold last year and used it a lot with small plastics and the hookup ratio was excellent. I haven't tried it with Zman baits though.
  23. Sunday was really rough, started with 2 drum and had to move lakes because it got so windy. Ended up with maybe 10-12 and none would have gone 2 pounds. Had one hit a bladed jig really hard but didn't even touch it either.
  24. Had just a tough weekend of fishing. Never got on a real good bite and the size wasn't there with the bites I got. Saturday was the best day by far. Got about 15, mostly on jerkbaits, these 2 being about as big as they got. The real heartbreaker was having a fish hammer an 8" Magdraft and somehow not touch the hook, ate it up to the eyeballs.
