  1. No, I don't think I could deal with the stress.
  2. Sunshirt, just got some with the hoods also I'm excited about for this year, face covers, sun gloves, long pants with SPF protection. Usually wear my Crocs and have sunblock on the tops of my feet, that's the only place I don't mind having it.
  3. Couldn't imagine. I've only ever caught 2 of them and both were tiny compared to that fish. We had a tournament scheduled out of Drake Harbor on the Osage River below Bagnell Dam on LOZ on OPENING WEEKEND of snagging season once. What a nightmare that was to navigate all those boats.
  4. I found one in a tree and tied it on because I had brought no spinnerbaits with me. It worked well other than not getting bit.
  5. There is seriously not a much angrier strike than a smallmouth on a frog. Not sure what it is, but they just try to destroy them when they hit.
  6. If I can see easily see the head of my trolling motor in the water, it's clear. If I can see it but it's hard to make out, it's stained. If I can't see it at all, it's muddy.
  7. The Kanata is a slow floater. With the heavier hooks you'd need for muskie it would probably be an even slower floater or suspending bait.
  8. I've had good luck with Advance. It is a thicker diameter line so I'd suggest getting a size smaller than you'd normally use for your intended use.
  9. A weedless head with just a creature or craw is kind a not so secret bait on LOZ when guys want a small profile than a standard jig.
  10. Whatever you pick, don't go too heavy or too big of a hook.
  11. Lots of good information you might want to check out in Glenn's videos. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos
  12. It really depends on the bait for me. With moving baits, a lot of times that swing up to the boat will trigger followers to bite so I fish it through the whole cast. With slow moving baits, I usually have a pretty good idea where my strike zone is and don't fish it much past that.
  13. We have dark hardwood floors, I feel this picture.
  14. Hill wanted more money than they could afford, likely would have held out and been a distraction and who knows how much effort he would have given in what would have become his final year of his contract. Then at the end of the season he would become a free agent and they'd have gotten nothing for him. Teams were shutting Hill down, bracketing him with 2 high safety coverage and the secondary targets not named Kelce couldn't get open in 1 on 1 coverage. Now they'll have better secondary targets and hopefully draft a great receiver to be able to spread things around more. If they don't fix their defense, keeping Hill would have been a moot point anyways.
  15. Jerkbait, wart, and A-rig should get it done.
  16. Welcome!
  17. I just talk to mine, tell her to be honest. If she doesn't want me to go, I want her to tell me. I also want her to under that it's my stress relief and favorite pass time so if she doesn't have a reason for me not to go, I'm planning on going.
  18. I much prefer this to the "hero shots" of the fishermen seeking Instabook fame. At least these fish are being put to use and fish do need to be culled out. Those are healthy fish, so assuming the fishery can spare some, and they're not overly large since they aren't much larger than the opening of a 5 gallon bucket.
  19. My last boat was a 16' Lowe Roughneck with a 60hp Merc 4 stroke. It had no rod locker so I had to put my rods in every trip. It wasn't too much of a hassle but having all of them in my boat now is way nicer.
  20. There's a house on one of the lakes I fish that put down the black weed barrier over their entire yard and then laid rock over top of it, so their entire yard is just rock save some nice mature trees and well maintained flower beds. After trying to grow grass in our yard the last few years, starting to think this man may be a genius.
  21. Did someone stock/manage it? Fathead minnows can have a black stripe on their side and are often used to supplement the food supply in ponds/lakes.
  22. 20lb fluoro or mono is plenty for A-rigs. I use 20lb mono on mine and have landed stripers over 20lbs on it, it'll handle a bass just fine.
  23. Still using the same techniques? I know guys that constantly adapt and change techniques and guys that have been using the same things in the same conditions for decades. The former is typically much more successful than the latter. Both may be successful, but one just much more than the other.
