  1. I've caught so many big winter time bass on this bait, including my 5 and 6 pounder last Saturday. One of my 7's last year fell for one also. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Strike_King_KVD_HC_Flat_Side_15_Crankbait/descpage-SKKVDFS.html

  3. Welcome!
  4. Looks like the color you get when you remelt a bunch of old plastics.
  5. We do tomatoes, peppers, and watermelons. Going to do some green beans and some seasonings like cilantro this year as well. I ate so many tomatoes last year, big ones and cherry tomatoes, and still gave away hundreds and my wife made several big batches of salsa that I took to work and shared with everyone.
  6. I always take my wife so nobody looks at me funny for shopping the jewelry building section at Hobby Lobby.
  7. Same if I'm targeting smallies.
  8. Welcome!
  9. If they're having fun and enjoying themselves, they're successful.
  10. Crankbaits are rarely the best option, or even need to be out on the deck.
  11. Gar are a lot of fun to fish for if you find a bunch of them. Supposed to be good eating too but I'll never know. I like to sight cast at them with hard jerkbaits (the cheaper the better). Hooking them is almost impossible but it's fun watching them stalk and attack.
  12. What a mess. I caught about a dozen less than 6" channel cats in my net in a throw once, I thought that was bad.
  13. Not sure the length of the one in your picture but I'd look at something with a solid ring and a little heavier built like this. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/offshore-angler-ball-bearing-swivel-with-solid-rings
  14. Yep, the reading comprehension isn't real great after working all day, sleeping 2 hours, then coming back to work ?
  15. Not sure about feather but is that swivel rated for stripers? It looks awfully undersized, especially for the striper it looks like you're targeting.
  16. What swimbaits are you talking about? $2 a bait is extremely cheap in the swimbait game.
  17. Hopefully the OP has done some field testing with squarebills on braid since asking the original question 5 years ago ?
  18. A Spro Little John DD is one of the only deep diving cranks I've had good success with other than the SK XD's. I don't deep crank often, but when I do, it's going to be a 5XD or 6XD. I should do it more, for the amount of time I deep crank, I've caught a good number of big fish on them. Biggest was a 7.5 on a green gizzard shad 5XD in January many years ago.
  19. Ned rig. I have days I catch more and bigger crappie than the guys fishing for them while I'm fishing a Ned for bass. It's frustrating at times.
  20. I'm the cook at our house. Not that my wife can't, it's just that I like doing it so I do it most of the time. I do the dishes most often, take out the trash, while she does a lot of the picking up around the house and running the kids around. We both hate doing laundry so it's usually a team effort on Sundays to get all the laundry done. I run the weedeater and pushmower and she takes care of the rest with the zero turn. It's all a team effort but it's all moving parts and we both know that some days we have to do a little extra. Always seems to work out fine because we're never comparing who is doing more.
  21. Mine was a 2 man, but yeah that checks out. Barely fit between the roll bars with spot lights mounted on top ?
  22. They're going to ruin that lake ? at least that's what everyone keeps saying.
