On this day in 1990. . . .
Now I've got a 7 and 4 year old of my own, it's gone way too fast.

Googan squad
This never ends well and there's quite a bit of discussion (if you want to call it that), about them on here already. Provided a few of the lengthier post if you want to read through and get a feel for how everyone feels for them.

And the beat goes on...
Digging up crawfish ? What are they digging them up with?? Bass out there sucking up mouths full of rocks and mud trying to catch craws? Every tried to get craws out of rocks small enough for a bass to move around? It's about impossible as they just move from one hiding spot to the next.

Seahorse head hook
I saw that on the larger sizes so I got some 3/0 for the 1/4oz and 4/0 for the bigger sizes. Thanks again for your help!

St Croix Victory Rod Technique names - some are confusing
Yes, a few times now. I like it, but the water needs to warm up a bit more before I can really give it a workout.

Smaller 1/4th oz. Lipless Crank Baits ?
I fish them more in the early fall when they're really keying on newly hatched shad. Not normally a big "match the hatch" guy, but this is one of those times.

Victory hooks
Currently making a Barlow's hook order and looked at them. The look good, but at about the same price as the Eagle Claw's I already use and trust, I'm not sure I'd try any just yet.

Deer Meat
Grinding it into hamburger for chili or goulash is good. Making it into sausage is about my favorite way to eat venison.

Other Species Latest Catch Pics Thread
I hate the crappie spawn here. The time of year when everyone is a "Pro", because they can catch a limit of suicidal crappie ? The busiest the lakes get all year and a lot of very uneducated anglers.

St Croix Victory Rod Technique names - some are confusing
Don't get caught up in the naming of the rods. Look at the specs and determine if it fits your needs. I got the "Full Contact Finesse". Not really sure what that means, but I liked how the specs looked and so far like the rod.

Travel rods or check rod tube
They removed the C clip on my Bazooka tube last time I flew also and kept it. Not sure how my rods got to where we were going without getting broken but they did. Airline said there wasn't a clip on it ? so I had to find a place to get a replacement while we were on vacation.

What is your favorite monofilament line?
Big Game, but I'm trying the new Sufix Advance and it seems like pretty nice line. Memory is worse than Big Game, but it's extremely strong so far too.

What is the appeal of these new OG Slim cranks?
There's been a lot of hype online about them. Guys were paying upwards of $30 a bait for them for a minute. Ott was pushing them pretty heavy and doing well in some tournaments with them, so that was a big part of it too.

Little swimbaits
3.8-5 inch fat impact style swimbaits.

Sk Red Eye Shads Not Running Right (Help!)
Strike King has great CS. If you get a bait that isn't working, contact them and they'll take care of you. I've got dozens of RES and I can't remember ever getting one that didn't run right.

Need help finding walk dog rod
Doesn't take a real specialized rod to walk the dog. I've used a bunch of different ones and have a couple different ones I use right now depending on the bait I'm fishing. For the ones like you're describing, I use a 7' M/F H20 Ethos Micro and 20lb straight braid.

Silent Crankbait?
The Strike King KVD HC flat side is my favorite that fits that description. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Strike_King_KVD_HC_Flat_Side_15_Crankbait/descpage-SKKVDFS.html

Show Off Your Work!
I don't even know. This was from a grab bag that Captainhook's sent me with a big order and it just happened to fit. I had 3 of them so I poured 3 to test them out. yes, that one is a 3/8oz

0 Shot Team, i am holding out
I had labs done, zero of the at risk factors. I'll pass until there's more information on potential long term effects of the vaccine.

What kind of fish like sand flats?
Carp love sand flats. Bass will get on sand flats, especially if there's some scattered cover like clumps of grass or rocks.

Table rock lake advice
Jerkbaits, underspins, Keitechs, Ned rigs, shakyheads, football jigs, maybe a spinnerbait if the wind blows but it won't be fun being in the wind in anything you listed. I fished a tournament there about that time of year a few years ago and won it on a bone 110 jerkbait and electric shad 3.8 fat impact on a 3/8oz underspin fished around spawning areas that had channel swings near them.
