SHARKS!
From the FB pictures I've seen, not too bad.

Stone jig
Very nice. Learned how to fish a swim jig with one of those.

Opinions on St. Croix Legend Tourn.
I have several, both spinning and casting. I must not be sensitive enough to notice them being so incredibly tip heavy, they feel good to me. At any rate, I like them and I manage to catch a fish with them every now and then.

When to shut it down for the year?
I don't, I can't, I'll find a way.

Sometimes I feel bad
It's still sized for my head in the picture. My hats don't fit many heads but they do fit most watermelons and pumpkins.

Wacky rig
The O ring has never done much for saving the bait for me. I just hook them through the middle instead.

Small lipless...
I carry a good selection of 1/4oz RES just for the fall. Mainly a bait I throw on smallmouth lakes as they seem to like those balls of smaller bait better than the green fish do and that smaller lipless does a good job imitating them.

Is it worth it?
I'd planned on fishing this morning in the cold and wind in a kayak tournament, but work had other plans ?

Sometimes I feel bad
Someone else decided they liked it too. Matched his fishing shirt I guess.

Spinnerbaits: closed eye vs R bend
I don't really care either way but if I could choose, I'd probably go closed eye.

Is it worth it?
Cloudy skies=probable low pressure system, I'm all over that. Now if you had them high, sunny skies, that's a tough bite waiting to happen.

Winter 2020-2021
- Post a photo a day!
That's a big dog and if it's anything like ours are, it's weight doubles once it's asleep.- Marine creatures may be the happiest right now
This drives me crazy. Respect them for the animals they are from a distance, and let them do animals things. Or, try to get rabies I guess.- Sometimes I feel bad
Those poor fish don't really have a chance ?- Shorter rod to skip chatterbaits
Same rod that I use for my everyday rod for bladed jigs, a 6' 9" H/F Hammer Rods Micro. I missed the fish, but check the skip.- Thoughts on Stratos
I've had my Stratos since 2015 and have been really happy with it. My BIL and a friend of mine both have Stratos boats also and like them.- The Ned Rig
A friend of mine complained that he broke the hook on a couple of my Ned rigs. He was using a 6' 10" M/F spinning rod (exact same one I use for shakyheads), with braid and the drag locked down. I watched him set the hook and it looked like he was trying to swing on a fish on a T-rigged plastic. Wasn't much of a surprise after seeing that.- 3/8oz or 1/4oz jigs for ponds?
I mainly use a 1/2oz, even in ponds. I don't carry many 3/8oz jigs.- Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Your price per bait will go way down, but I promise you won't be saving any money after you keep buying molds, hooks, wire inserts, paint, weedguards, stick on eyes, split rings, swivels, skirt material, lead, you get the idea. I mean at that point why walk it to the door? Throw that sucker like a javelin, see how far it'll fly and drop kick the other one. Stepping up my cold weather fishing game.- Latest Catch Pics Thread
Well, he wasn't much, but here's number 2,000 for the year.- serious about bass fishing.
Man when I bought a boat, all the sudden I had more friends than I knew what to do with. I realize now a lot of them are just looking for a free ride in a boat (since very few offer gas money or if they do, it's actually enough to even cover the day's gas usage), and to get to be taken to where the fish are. They don't ever call unless it's to ask if they can ride along to go fishing. I've got a couple good friends that I fish with on occasion, otherwise I'd about prefer to just fish alone.- IL angler new to bass fishing, need some help
Welcome! Might give the Ned rig a try if cover allows it.- Anyone else get skunked today?
It was a grind, I left early because it was tougher than I wanted to deal with, just wasn't that mad at them. I would typically expect 30-40 with a few over 3, maybe a 5 pounder or 2 at the lake I was at. - Post a photo a day!
