Megabass vs. Savage gear vs. Jackall
Shine Glide takes all of the listed baits behind the woodshed. Not only does it work great, but it's priced well too. Do yourself a favor and get the 7", not the 5". IMO, the helicoptering on the cast is way overplayed with this bait. It will do it because it's a tall and fairly flat bait, but if you sidearm lob cast it, it becomes a rarity for it to do it.

Is PB&J a new color?
I think maybe the name itself for a bait color is relatively new, but brown and purple baits certainly aren't. Some of the first jigs I ever remember fishing were brown and purple round rubber jigs.

Wow
Just wait until his cousin, the boat gorilla, jumps on your back. There's no fighting that dude off.

Post a photo a day!
Tearing around the yard and the house all day is really exhausting apparently.

Help Me Find the Rod I’m Looking For. PLEASE!!
I use a Dobyn's Fury 703C for what you're doing. It's light enough to fish the 1/4 oz, does great with the 1/2oz, has enough backbone to rip the bait out of the grass and clear the hooks, and has a nice bend when a big fish is loaded onto it. Mine is paired with a KK Assassin and 15lb Big Game.

Jig Mold Modifying
I use a Dremel with a small cutting wheel to cut a very small channel or just widen the hook channel a touch. Just go slowly because you can take more off but you can't add it back on once it's ground off. I do it with most of my jig molds anymore.

Timing
Water temp is more important than air temp. It was cold here Friday morning, lots of guys fishing low and slow and not doing good. Water temp was still 70-72, I was in 5' or less of water catching them on topwater first thing in the morning

Drinking and boating, or just inexperience?
I think I'd pass on that one, I can only imagine what kind of care has been taken of the boat if they don't even know what direction it's supposed to go on the trailer. I'm a parking spot backer-inner. I can tell you that a very large number of our accident calls are from people backing out of parking spots, it's also how most on duty accidents happen, which is why we're trained to back in.

Post a photo a day!
Little dude almost got me. He was so calm until I grab him, then he went nuts and put a hook through my glove and grazed my thumb, thought he had me for a second. Brand new Fusion19 trebles on that Berkley Drift Walker are no joke.

Other Species Latest Catch Pics Thread
It's that wonderful time of year when the water is cooling, the shad are moving shallow, and every fish in the lake is following them. Never know what the next cast might be. I had good variety this weekend. There was also several drum that are not pictured.

What line for a swimbait?
PLine CXX 17lb would be plenty for that bait. They make thin, wire that you can tie that you might look into. I know @A-Jay uses something along those lines for some of his baits.

KK spinning owners: KastKing spinning reel size ?
Really liking mine. It's noticeably faster than any other spinning reel I own. It's very solid and smooth (unfortunately the only thing I've tested the drag on is a big drum so far). I've used it for a micro finesse jig, shakyhead, and wacky rig and it did all well matched with the 7' shakyhead rod.

Finally!
Great fish! Open boat cleats not only tangle nets, they'll break rods too, trust me.

Google Earth As A Fishing Tool
I found a couple hidden ponds on public land that are bass fishing gems that produce numbers and some very large bass. It's great for finding long points and high spots too.

When do Icast stuff usually hit the market?
It varies wildly. Some stuff will come out before ICAST even, some stuff won't come out until late winter, just depends on the company and the demand.

Mono on a Baitcaster?
I have mono on several casting and spinning combos, even use it for stuff I'm not "suppose" to like jigs and shakyheads.

Rapala DT-4
They work good until they fall apart ? Actually the DT-4 is a little more durable than the DT-6, but all of mine have fallen apart except for the DT Thug.

The " green pumpkin" color in soft plastics
How many potential prey species out there do you know of that are trying to be brightly colored and/or draw attention to themselves? How does a bass find anything in dirty water if they must see it? If it was as simple as getting the bass to see it bass lures would be colored more like salmon baits.

Will Elaztech have a bad reaction with dyes?
Sometimes it will dissolve almost instantly, sometimes it has no problems at all. I have no idea why but that seems to be the case.

Finesse Jig help
I don't hop a jig a lot. I subscribe to the same idea as A-Jay, I usually drag my jigs like a craw or something trying NOT to be seen, which I generally assume they don't want to be. Bass seem to have no issues finding my bait.
