The beautiful, frustrating, fascinating thing about our sport.
Yep, I've learned to love (or live), with fishing on days where the weather stinks. Nice weather days rarely produce good fishing for me.

What is your state record LM?
To make it even more unbelievable, he caught it while ice fishing.

Huge Muskie Problem!!!
I think that a fish per acre is a pretty standard ratio that Missouri uses in smaller lakes. The theory being it's enough to curb stunted panfish populations without being more large predators than a lake can handle. I fish 2 different lakes with muskie on any regularity. One has a lower bass population, but the bass that are there are really large. The other has tons of bass and most are towards the smaller side. The one with more undersized bass has a far larger population of muskie. Personally, if I had a lake with a good population close by, I'd bass fish a lot less. Make a trade? I have several lakes close by you can easily catch 50-100 8-12 inch bass a day. I'll send a few thousand of those and you send a couple hundred muskie, deal? Or if you can even just talk KDWPT into stocking muskie in a couple of our lakes would be good enough for me.

Live bluegill and swimbait techniques
Green sunfish or crappie are better live bait if it's legal where you are because they're an easier shape for a bass to swallow and not quite a spiny.

pet bass missing
The blue herons are always eating the bass out of my pond. Not sure how they see them in that mudhole, but I watched on catch 6 8-12 inch bass in about an hour one morning while I was in my deer blind. Ospreys will certainly catch a bass too. I had one carry a bass right over my head at Table Rock this weekend in fact.

A little bit of pre spawn fun.
Our lakes just hit 50, no bedding fish to be caught yet.

Lure swap
Sorry I was at Table Rock the last few days. Yes it made it and they look great. So we had a few not send anything it seems. Do we want to just distribute a few extras to the guys who sent baits or does everyone want me to send their extras back to them?

Should I just stick to dark, big, and loud for brown water?
I'll usually go with a little larger baits yes.

Should I just stick to dark, big, and loud for brown water?
Baitfish, craws, and other prey items don't suddenly become bright/dark colored and make a lot of noise in dirty water and bass manage to find them just fine. Sure, those baits might work, but don't discount natural and silent baits just because the water is dirty.

Post a photo a day!
If it would keep her from wanting another baby, I'd buy a whole box of them.

This is what happens when your wife doesn't get the baby girl she was hoping for.

Need help catching big redear in clear pond
I catch most of mine on tiny jigs. I use a 1/80oz jighead and tip it with a tiny piece of plastic like half of the body of a 2" grub. I fish it on a 6' Avid UL and 750 size Sedona and 3.5 DAM Techtan line with no bobber or additional weight. I've also caught some large ones on Ned rigs fishing for bass.

Table Rock
Everything I've read has been pointing to a very good bite going right now, mostly fish in less than 20' of water (which is shallow water at Table Rock). It's actually set up very similar to how it was when we were there last year, right down to the weather forecast. If it's half as good as it was then it will be excellent. Lots of talk about jerkbaits, Ned rigs, small Keitech style swimbaits, jigs, wiggle warts, shakyheads, and some spinnerbait fish. It's been taking up to 22 pounds to win single day tournaments with a mix of all 3 species (and the occasional meanmouth). We're getting down there Friday and should get a good amount of time on the water to hopefully figure something out to share with everyone. There's an FLW Costa tournament going on this weekend, so boat traffic will be heavy, but it usually is in the spring at Table Rock, and for good reason.

Storm Arashi Top Walker - User Experiences ?
I like the Arashi much better than I did the sexy dawg. The Arashi stays on the surface and doesn't want to dive like the dawg does. I use the biggest size Arashi and it gets some of the most violent strikes I've seen on a WTD style bait.

Line type for senkos on a BC
I also fish weightless Senkos on spinning gear. 8lb AbrasX is what I'm throwing them on right now.
