  1. No I'm not the guy that paid $85 for one on Ebay either.
  2. #3 with a gold blade and brown tail followed closely by a #3 chartreuse blade with a white tail.
  3. I've had the pleasure of meeting and fishing with several members from the forums. It's always been a good experience.
  4. Really shocked there's no lakes from Kansas on the list....
  5. I've had really good luck fishing a Zara Puppy or Super Spook Jr. for smallies in similar situations in the Ozark rivers.
  6. I would guess it's either rock bass or green sunfish if you have fish biting and pulling you under rocks. Green sunfish do that to me all the time, their bites can feel pretty aggressive too. Does the place you're fishing have a good amount of current? If it does, it can put a bow in your line and when your bait hangs on something, as it's tightening, the current can cause your line to whip around in the water kind of like you've hooked a fish.

  10. I use their squarebills a lot, but all their hard baits have been productive for me. Best house brand out there imo.
  11. I buy all mine at Academy.
  12. I had a 5-6 pound fish eat a small crappie I was fighting in once. Ended up catching it a few minutes later once I ran to the truck and got my bass gear instead of a crappie rod.
  13. I used a deep diving crankbait to find cover and structure when I had my 2 man with no depthfinder on it.
  14. I use to anchor quite a bit when I had my little aluminum boat. Wind pushed it around so much that even with a 70lb trolling motor on a 16' boat, it got too much to fight at times. It's a little bit of a hassle and you have to be careful to anchor up right or risk taking on water, but it works really well if done correctly and makes fishing in heavy wind much easier.
  15. I found a bag of 8 Big Bite Baits Yo Mama's for $256 yesterday It was a color I hadn't seen them in before that I wanted, but not that badly.
  16. Braid doesn't stretch, and has no shock absorbancy. These baits are big and heavy. Get a backlash and there's a good chance that big bait hits the end of your line and just keeps on going. 20lb Pline CXX is super strong and is a great shock absorber. You can use braid, but you will cast baits off if you do it enough. I've lost 2 baits in the severalyears I've been doing it, both 68 Hudds snagged on deep wood that couldn't be saved.
  17. I save mine and put them on the baits that I find. You can sell them when you get a bunch since they are brand new hooks and decent quality.
