There's big bluegill in there, a half dozen nice channel cat too. It'spretty similar dimensions and pretty shallow. I'm sure they can get a couple pounds eventually.

Nah, it's a tiny puddle. Many managing it to be a spot my boys can walk to and catch a couple when they get old enough.

I haven't really fished it yet, since it's as big as most of the bass in my pond are for now, but that's gonna change really soon.

Got to get to Bass Pro in Springfield Missouri if you want to get to a big tackle store. Plus it's not far from the White River Chain of Lakes.

My whopper plopper 110's finally made it, and I was finally able to rescue this guy from the dungeon at my local PO. Took him for a test swim today, I think I'm going to really like it. Makes a very nice "bloop" on the twitch. The flat sides let it cut, roll, and glide almost without moving forward. Pops back up hard and bobs a little like a bluegill that's circling the drain.

Hmm, it's called Sangria Wine here. Of course it didn't originate anywhere near the Midwest, so I'm sure it's just a misnomer. I know very little about wine (obviously). If I'm drinking alcohol, which I rarely do, it's almost always going to be whiskey. The cheap blueberry wine the local store sells is a great after the kids go to bed drink that my wife and I drink together once in awhile.

I use a 6' 8" M/F Ethos Micro guide rod a lot that is $80 normally, but can be found on sale for much less pretty often.

Got mine today and actually remembered to weigh them. The T1000 was .9 oz, just shy of it's listed rating of 1oz. It rang up 26g the first time, 25g the second, so the listed weight of 25.5g is probably pretty close.

Just put some nightcrawlers on the bottom for whatever wants to bite. I do that sometimes while flathead fishing and end up catching some nice baitfish like smaller carp, drum, or bullheads too.

I don't like either, but it's really easy for me to just not click on them and I don't have to watch them, problem solved.

But if some of the most popular youtubers don't know much about what they're talking about and instead spread misinformation, while hawking products, there's a reason it rubs folks the wrong way. Also, if you start responses to a question by giving a sarcastic response that in no way answered the OP's question, you're probably more likely to bring out the "flood of comments" from those who otherwise might be apt to just move onto the next subject instead of responding.

Baitfish and crawdads don't change color to make it easier for the bass to see them in dirty water. They may slightly change hues, but for the most part remain the same color.

You answered my question on the last line. Those cutting points on the Trokar hooks slice baits up like crazy when you put any kind of force on them. I watched @gardnerjigman go through several baits only catch a fish or two and some baits not even catching anything, just tearing up from pulling it out of heavy grass over and over. It's only an issue with the Trokar hooks. I use both Eagle Claw flipping hooks and Strike King Hack Attack flipping hooks and have never had the same issue.

I don't eat fish, but one my buddies soaks them in Sprite, says it gives them really nice flavor.

Prefer to buy mine at the store and grill them at home, even better cooked over a campfire on a fresh cut green sapling. Used to get the footlong dog at an old ice cream shop growing up that was delicious. I probably wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for cheap Bar S hotdogs and Kraft macaroni and cheese, about all my parents could afford, and the hotdogs were served on cheap white bread, not buns. I don't care what's in them, my mouth says they taste good, so I'll keep on eating them. My taste are a little more refined now. Usually opt for the Ball Park bun length or Hebrew National beef franks.

And?? As long as you're not promoting your channel or a product with your videos, nothing wrong with it. Lots of members post their Youtube videos from their fishing trips. I enjoy watching most of them. Now the shaky chest or head cams, obnoxious music, screaming about every dink they catch, filming themselves eating breakfast and getting gas, I could do without all that. Neat thing is, it's really easy to just not watch those videos and go back to watching the ones I like. As for the OP's question, I have no idea how all that stuff works but I'd guess maybe the folks who run YT aren't big fans of the sport. I'm sure you could shoot the folks over at YT a query about why it's in that category.

I own rods from both line ups and it's not even a comparison, Okuma all day. Very easy to find the TCS for around the same price as the Fury or even a little less. They do seem to run a tad lighter than rated imo, just to keep that in mind. Nothing wrong with the Fury, just not on the same level as the TCS. I watched a Fury break on the cast a couple weeks ago. Don't know if anything to it previously, but the guy I was fishing with takes good care of his stuff, seemed to be a pretty odd break.

Just got them, but I wore my Frabill Gale suit a couple times the last few weeks and they've been very comfortable in cold temps or warmer days. Considering the huge discount I got on them, I've been very happy.

Anything 4-5 feet visibility is clear around here. Go to Table Rock, Beaver, or Bull Shoals a few hours south and that would be considered pretty stained water. All depends on the body of water and region. Also, remember that bass can't read and they don't know the rules, and prey animals don't become brighter or more visible in dirty water. I've had some great days in clear water with bright colors like white, chartreuse, or pink, and I've had great days in dirty water with natural colors like green pumpkin. Don't be afraid to experiment because the book tells you it won't work.
