  1. Welcome!
  2. Very easy one to duplicate yourself.
  3. I haven't had a sinker yet.
  4. That's all I found too. I don't really have a need for an intermediate size but they'd be foolish not to capitalize on the craze with more sizes and colors.
  5. I get mine from Captain Hook's Warehouse. I think they're around $45 shipped for 1,000, not sure on the 500s. I liked the looks of the poison head, just not sure what I'd use it for instead of the football heads. I wish I would have ordered my Ned mold a couple days ago so I could have some for Table Rock.
  6. No unfortunately. There isn't a mold that small. I'd hoped the new Midwest Finesse mold would have actual Midwest Finesse sizes, but they just jumped on the craze without doing any research apparently.
  7. Haven't even heard anything about a 110.
  8. Bone has been far and away the best producer for me, have not had luck with the shad colors. My BIL does well with lite trout, despite there being nearly zero trout in any of the waters around here. I also know of a couple guys that do well with baby bass here. The 130 does not swim well IMO, it's too small to work correctly. The smaller Savage Gear Shine Glide is a good smaller glide bait.
  9. My favorite topwater really doesn't change all year. I like to fish a 3/8oz black on black Cavitron when the fish will eat it, which is most of the time they're eating topwater. The last few weeks though, they've been biting the WP 90 and ignoring a buzzbait. I also have done pretty well with a discontinued Excaliber Zell Pop (the smaller size). It's one of those magic baits that just has something about it that really catches fish when they ignore everything else. I'm almost afraid to fish it because I don't want to lose it but it's too good to leave in the box.
  10. The only crank I've consistently done well with without deflecting it off cover is a Rapala Scatter Rap.
  11. Morning Dawn Oxblood/red flake Watermelon/red flake
  12. I couldn't reel left handed with a baitcaster if I had a gun to my head. I can WTD with my right hand twitching forward or backwards though so that's not an issue.
  13. For me it's September/October in Kansas. The fish get into the summer/fall transition and go into the late summer pattern of "summer here, summer there". There's really not a concentration of fish in any parts of the lakes and big fish evaporate into thin air. I usually spend a little time at the power plant lakes during those months because they aren't as effected because of their warmed water. I hate the weather in the winter, but the fishing at the power plant lakes can be red hot.
  14. Fish and ski for me, but you can probably find a pontoon for cheaper. Pontoons aren't bad to fish out of on small, calmer waters, but it gets tricky when the water gets rough unless you're drifting or fishing open water.
  15. @whitwolf would probably know.
  16. I haven't heard anything on it. It's really a shame that companies don't release lefties at the same time. It can't be that hard to switch the handle side. I think it's going to be worth the wait for the lefties once they're released though.
  17. 1/4oz swing head with a 7/0 monster worm hook when I'm dragging and looking for a big bite. It doesn't take a very heavy head to keep them down because they already weigh so much.
  18. It's finally out! http://store.do-itmolds.com/Midwest-Finesse-JigbrSz-116-332-18-532-316-14brHk-Owner-5313brCollar-Wire-Holder_p_1255.html Pretty disappointed with the sizes. I don't ever use anything over 3/32 for Nedding, for sure no bigger than 1/8. I was hoping to get multiple cavities for the good sizes so I could stop pouring one at a time Not that any of that stopped me from ordering one.
  19. It's here! http://store.do-itmolds.com/Midwest-Finesse-JigbrSz-116-332-18-532-316-14brHk-Owner-5313brCollar-Wire-Holder_p_1255.html Mine should be here next week. Have to admit, pretty disappointed that they didn't make it with the traditional Ned Rig jighead weights. Seems like they're trying to cash in on the rush and didn't do much homework on it. I was hoping for a mold with 1/20, 1/16, and 3/32, maybe 2 cavities of each. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers, I just won't have any use for this mold and anything above 1/8oz most likely.
  20. Nice fish! I've actually let baits get pulled up under the cables at the power plant lake I fish whenever there's an eddy along the shoreline. It's a great time to drift live shad for wipers because I put them under a bobber and the current pulls them right into the seam where all fish sit.
  21. I do better on jigs once the water starts cooling in the fall. I'm sure they'll still eat a big worm, but I'd rather fish a jig.
  22. I carry a lot of colors and have a wide variety of reasons and deciding factors on what color I fish. In the end, where you're fishing makes a way bigger difference than what you're fishing.
