Explosive strike
I was loaned an Imakatsu Aventa Crawler to try this past weekend and I really gave it a serious try. The bait is huge, 4.5" long and 1.3oz. The closest thing to it is a Pompadour, which is "only", 3" and 3/4oz. I knew there was a shallow spot with several large boulders that the bass ambush shad as they move in and out of the creek. Maybe this fish had missed it's last meal and decided it was going to make sure the next thing that swam by didn't get away, maybe it was just having a bad day, either way it was an awesome strike.

Favorite bladed jig colors for pre spawn?
I don't choose my colors based on the time of year. I go more off the conditions and the water clarity.

Best "found" lure?
Recovering other people's lost baits is a hobby of mine. My best day was at Table Rock one day I found a Megabass Vision 110 Magnum, 4 Lucky Craft jerkbaits, a Pre-Rapala Wiggle Wart, a War Eagle spinnerbait, a Strike King spinnerbait, and a few other cheaper baits. I found an H20 squarebill and a Lucky Craft RTO squarebill last Thursday.

Time/place you caught your PB
It was January or February at Lake Comendero, MX. It was probably 4 or 5 in the afternoon. I was actually finished with my cast and she chased my lizard to the boat and caught it on the fall when I started releasing line to let the bait sink again.
- Never done this before!

Curado 70 vs Curado 50E
I liked the 70 way better than the 50's. The 50's are tiny and my hands would start to hurt from holding onto them for very long. The 70 seems to be just a tad bit bigger or something so it fits my hands much better. Little things like that are the exact reason why it pays to hold a reel in your hand if possible before buying instead of taking someone else's advice on which is the best. Doesn't matter how nice a reel is, if it's not comfortable to you to fish with, you won't use it. I sold all my 50's because of it.

Fishing Report on private lake?
A fishing story is a fishing story. As long as you're not sneaking into said private property (which obviously you're not if you're moving there), then post away man!

Anybody here dive?

Do bass, eat bass?
I've had big bass attempt to, and a couple times managed to, eat smaller bass while I was reeling them in. A smaller bass is just another baitfish to a bigger bass.

Random noises out on the water
Spring turkey hunters, and then fall and winter deer and duck hunters get me when they're close by when they start blasting. Only one I caught explain was about a baseball sized rock getting launched at my boat out of a very thick stand of trees a couple months back. It would take some work for a person to get to the area it came from, and I was quite a ways off the shoreline, but apparently someone didn't like me fishing where I was. I couldn't see anything and didn't want to get any closer for obvious reasons.

The Brush Hog
I like a solid black full sized brush hog with a 5/0 EWG and a 1/4oz bullet weight, pitched around all kinds of cover. It's a big fish bait but it will get the little guys too.

I would like to apologize
It takes a big man and a lot of courage to apologize and admit he made a mistake, especially on a public forum, well done.
- Alright is this the next gimmick?

Power fishing/ search baits
I agree with bigbill, that sounds more like running and gunning to me. You don't have to go fast to power fish. I feel most like I'm power fishing when I have a flipping stick with a big jig or plastic and I'm picking apart heavy cover. For the style of fishing described though, I like any kind of bladed bait, buzzbait, spinnerbait, or bladed jig.

Hollow body frog brands
I like the Booyah and also Spro's frogs. I have one of the KVD frogs and don't like it at all. I've never fished the Live Target but that's mainly because I have yet to find an offering from them that I liked.

Can't quit catching catfish!
No way to avoid it man. Catfish are predators just like bass and attack lures like a bass will. I've caught them on all kinds of lures, even had 2 on buzzbaits last Thursday. Just something you have to deal with. Cranks and bladed jigs are the worse/best catfish catchers for me except for flatheads. Flatheads love to thump a jig.
