  1. I use cinder blocks, jam branches or the base of a tree in each hole facing opposite directions. That way they lay flat on the bottom and extend out away from the block, makes it so nobody else can find my hard work by simply seeing it extending towards the surface of the water
  2. Berkley Big Game is strong and cheap and has good amount of stretch for shock absorbency.
  3. Welcome Charlie! What part of MO are you from? We have lots of guys on here from the KC area, myself included.
  4. I use a flipping stick for the 8.0, never fished a 10XD.
  5. Killer on a spilt shot rig.
  6. The fish in my avatar was 22" long and 17" around and weighed 7.76lbs, the fish calculator puts it at 8.06, only a quarter pound off. That's a great looking fish Auggie
  7. One of my favorite trailers without a doubt. It's not pork but it does hold up very well and the fact that the claws float up is a big plus to me. If you decide to try them I use the 3.5" version for all my jigs, the littler size is just too narrow IMO.
  8. Welcome!
  9. White bass are like trying to unhook a ticked off porcupine. I get finned or cut by about every other one I catch.
  10. Sunshine bass and wipers are the same fish by a different name.
  11. Curt caught a PIG today, and it wasn't a drum this time
  12. 1/8oz Little Cleo or 1/80 home made trout jig under a bobber.
  13. OP's picture is a redear sunfish, aka shellcracker. Don't see them that dark very often here.
  14. Make sure you get quality ones or you'll ruin a bunch putting them on and have them pull apart while you're fighting fish too.
  15. That a strip pit fish?
  16. Had a feeling somethung wasn't right. Keep your head up man and you have my number if you ever need someone to talk to.
  17. If the OP isn't against it, this would be my suggestion 100%. Minnow under a bobber around any cover in deeper water would be my pick.
  18. 5 1/2 actually, from Lake Havasu in Arizona on a 7" power worm.
  19. 2014 Biggest Local Bass Weight (or length if you didn't have a scale): Lure: Pattern: Lake: Time of Year:
  20. It's that time of year again for this fun little poll 2014 Biggest Local Bass Weight (or length if you didn't have a scale): 5.89 largemouth Lure: Homemade black and blue 5/8oz brush jig with a 3.5" Zman Batwingz trailer also black and blue. Pattern: Dragging it very slowly down a rocky dropoff Lake: Cedar Creek Valley Reservoir Time of Year: November
  21. Man tigers are pretty fish! None within several hours drive for me though
  22. We only have a couple lakes with purebred stripers, but lots with white bass and the white bass/striper hybrid or wipers as we call them. They're about the funnest fish there is to catch IMO.
