  1. +3 I have three BPS reels and this will, more than likely be the forth. They get the job done at a good price too.
  2. Agreed. The Denver Elway's have ZERO chance. AT LEAST a three score lead when it's all over. I like the kid too. But he'll have to play perfect football for 4 full quarters. He's not there. To make matters worse, the Patriots are angry. This will be ugly.

The Denver Elway's have a real test this coming Sunday. Look for an angry New England team to take out their frustration at Mile High.
  4. That lefty looks very tempting.....
  5. Here are some of the many existing "best/favorite braid" topics... Hope these are helpful. j
  6. Yer right, sorry all. Here's the youtube version. Hope it works! This guy's a tad 'different' but I like his approach. jim
  7. I found this http://*.com/making-switch-braid/ to be informative and sensible. I would like hearing from some experinced anglers weather they do as well (or not). Jim
  8. No "spares". I just use and abuse my four combos.
  9. I use fluoro leaders only. Whatever one needs to use the stuff fully spooled up on a spinning reel escapes me. I completely buy into the invisible line thing. Just not 110 yards of it. A bit more than the water clarity and I call it good. But as my signature says...
  10. Yep, about 6 turns of that cheap tacky electrical tape from WalleyWorld has worked great for me. Ideal width for my baitcasters too. j

  12. Sounds like dinks.
  13. That's awesome. Much to be considered here. Good post.
  14. Have yet to catch a bass on a Senko. I have caught them on the Rage Thumper, rarely rigged weedless. Just keeping the slack out of the line and adding a couple wrist snaps in the opposite direction of the fishes movement is all I have done. Always works. Really, I just don't know any better. I seem to miss a bunch with the "big swing" especially cranking. I suspect that all our "big swings" are different. Your mileage may vary.

FWIW. I have earned several slots to the USPSA Handgun National Championships over the years. Yes, I am proud of that . The three Glocks that I shoot regularly in matches stay unloaded and locked away in the safe. A loaded 12ga Remington 870 isn't.
  16. 6'-6" or 7' FIBERGLASS, Medium with Parabolic action.
  17. Exclusively flouro for finesse and both for everything else.
  18. Drag it with a split shot maybe?
  19. I cast with braid and fish with fluoro . Suffix 832 on every reel I own from 20 to 65#. And with the exception of frogs, zara spooks and Pop-R's I fish it with a 4-5' fluoro leader tied on with the Alberto (Albright) knot. The 832 has been a real "sport saver" for me. I just do not possess the patience at this point to dink around with mono and fluoro spooled reels. I have to have the line in the water and not wadded up on the reel if I'm to stick with this sport. Still, all this is very subjective. I found what works for me and my time on the water has improved measurably. I hope you do too. Jim
  20. From my prospective today, heck no. Turning this passion into an occupation would destroy it. But, in make believe land? Sure IF I had been raised bass fishing in the southeast, completed and won dang near every Jr event I entered. Graduated from North Carolina State University, dominated while competing on their bass fishing team and catching the eye of say, thirty solid sponsors. Yes, pretending, sure. But I don't pretend small. j
  21. I have no clue really, but I know where to look. Enjoy. Hope they are helpful! j
  22. Thanks for the heads up. Picked up the 6.4:1 (LH) along with a heavy 7'6" BPS rod. Looks like a pretty nice rig for the little money I got in it. Should be able to cover some water. We'll see in the morning. j
