Check Out My Deep Crank/football Jig Rig
I dont use the same rod type for deep crankbaits and casting heavy jigs... In my setup those two rods are nearly opposite

Revo Stx (Centrifugal Brake Adjustment)
I have witnessed many people get a backlash with all the brakes engaged. If you have the tension knob set loose enough it makes no difference how many centrifical brakes you have set.

Did you port the exhaust on that outboard? Maybe its just the camera or something but it sounded EXTRA mean. Nice work!

Culprit Spinnerbaits??
Thanks. Agreed. Those walmart ones work fine, just retie the skirts with some heavy braided fishing line so they don't slip off and go fishing.

Culprit Spinnerbaits??
are the skirts on these wire tied? or are they just rubber banded

Revo Stx (Centrifugal Brake Adjustment)
if that happens your getting a backlash no matter how many brakes you have set. I don't use the cent. brakes unless I'm chucking heavy stuff. 90% of the time they are off. That's how I've found gets the best distance and most control.

Revo Sx For The A-Rig
I've tossed Double Cowgirl bucktails musky fishing with a revo. Double 10 colorado blades. FAR more resistance than an alabama rig winding, and much heavier. Never had an issue, caught a 47" musky on it too.

New Rod & New Line Question
I've had some bad experiences with Vanish line, and I've heard I''m not the only one. I recommend Trilene 100% flourocarbon. The rod and reel selection sounds pretty good to me too.

Holy Bright Worm Batman!
I was just joking. you can do whatever you want, new techniques are developed all the time because people try things that are different and weird. go ahead put it on a jig, it could look cool.

Building A Livewell Out Of A Cooler
the key to getting o2 into the water most efficiently in a boat is with surface agitation. an oxygen bubbler helps slightly because it will agitate the surface of the water, a better way of agitating the water however is by mounting the input spray nozzle above the surface of the water. when fresh water is pumped in it will mix water already in there and oxygenate.

Revo Sx: What's The Deal With The Spool Tension?
I guess i misinterpreted what you meant by "there shouldn't be ANY oil on the spool shaft" sorry. I agree with what your saying though, but I still think that excess oil can be an issue. nuff said.

Revo Sx: What's The Deal With The Spool Tension?
I thought you just said there shouldn't be oil on the spool shaft? If you put it on the pad, its going to be on the spool shaft. I have used my reels both with oil and without on the pad. It seems in my experience that the smallest amount of oil on the pad possible works the best. The pad is usually saturated from the factory so adding more is in most cases going to impede the function. If the knob isnt working correctly and you cant get the tension correct for even a light lure it is often because of excess oil.
